  • Of Course! There was never any doubt about the mattering of cops' lives in this country. To say Blue Lives Matter is to falsely assert that the cops' lives are undervalued and systematically discarded. They are not — no life should be — and the shootings in Dallas do not change that fact.

  • Imagine "The Purge" happening in real life. Except instead of 12 hours a year, it's 24/7/365. Thank a cop at every chance you get for the perilous and thankless job they do keeping the rest of us safe.

  • It is nice that nobody has voted against this. Seems to be a lack of Uhuru on here.

  • All lives matter, including the lives of police officers.

  • police are under attack

    Posted by: Dilara
  • Police have obligations to protect citizens and ensure the order in the society. BLM is ignorant masses.

  • Well I don't think I would say "blue" lives because no one is blue. But yes Police lives do matter doesn't matter what your job or race is all lives should be equal. But fact is none of us are equal to the elites.

  • Black aren't being systematically discriminated against in this country anymore. However, groups like BLM advocate for and participate in the killing of cops. Cops are people too, and they're only trying to do their job.

  • Life is too abundant on this planet for anyone to matter at all. We are not unique or individual (psychologically) and therefore utterly replaceable. Thus saying that no life is precious and therefore no lives matter. Think about the number of people who will never know your name, now know that you will be friends with less than 20000 people. That is no on in ratio to the shear scale of our race. There are too many of us for lives to matter at all.

  • No lives matter

  • I do NOT think police's lives are worthless and I would like to point out that this poll is very biased. What I don't think people understand about "Blue Lives Matter" is that it equates a profession (a choice) with being born black (which is who someone is). That's all.

What exactly does blue lives matter mean? Who are blue people?
Throwback says2016-08-12T00:32:43.0782527Z
@foodiesoul...Just when I thought you were done with grade school, there it is again.

Throwback: I am sorry you are so fatalistic. You must be a miserable human being. For the record I am not communist, I am a socialist.I know helping those less fortunate is so foreign to you it is almost mind blowing. Just like someone who supports police but doesn't word it like a cookie cutter right wing, white protestant, biased, xenophobe....You feel compelled to shit all over them.
Throwback says2016-08-12T01:24:29.0043809Z
@SM29...I appreciate the thought. We don't get that much anymore. Obama, Holder, Lynch & Co. Have been pretty successful at turning everything on it's head. Darren Wilson was made the thug, and his life is ruined. St. Michael Brown has a memorial. Never mind the fact Darren Wilson did exactly as he should have done.

Cops have been targeted for murder since their inception because of what they represent, that is just how society works Throwback, and given your xenophobic attitude, you had better carry a big gun to protect your huge attitude. You come across as the type of cop that people want to shoot, not support.
karlmarx59 says2016-08-12T01:32:43.3921607Z
Throwback I think you have a real cognitive dissonance to unrepentantly call Foodiesoul names and berate him, yet you act like an angry 10 year old with a computer. It is really sad to me that a grown man that claims to have such an honorable career acts so miserably childish and racist. I can see now your unyielding love for that mental defective Trump and why you have no ability to discuss anything with substance. Also, I'm sorry your educational system failed you.
karlmarx59 says2016-08-12T02:09:52.6464507Z
Throwbaack: May I ask what facts you have presented? None. I agree with you the police are honorable and matter and are subject to murder due to their very profession. So excuse me what reality am I being confronted with? I believe it is YOU, Throwback that has had a hissy fit and been insipid to me. I simply made an observation about your hate driven personality, the fatalistic viewpoint, the misery, the negativity. I know the very fact I am educated, a foreigner, an optimist, an open hearted, anti gun, world viewed person somehow alienates you and scares you and you feel threatened. If it is such a threat, then don't send me comments that absurd in nature. I don't have to "think" I am an intellectual, I KNOW I AM...My record speaks for itself. My accomplishments speak for themselves. Now I don't want to diminish your job, it is of utmost importance. I just wish you would realize you have a great purpose and not be so negative in life, but that is your problem and your journey. Good luck in future endeavors. And be safe.

Throwback FYI; NO ONE has been profane to you, you are delusional and paranoid.

@LeMarquisDEnfer: agreed. I am surprised at the poll thus far.

Law enforcement officers recognize that stress is part of the profession and working conditions. In the past, police culture did not recognize stress as a problem affecting their officers. However, there is now plenty of evidence and research showing that unmanaged stress can lead to anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). What many officers might not be aware of is the long-term effects of chronic fatigue and the relationship between stress and fatigue. Not getting enough rest and not eating properly in order to fuel the body can increase the effects of fatigue. Being fatigued on-duty causes many issues, such as poor decision making and other cognitive task difficulties. Police officer distressed Photo by Kevin R. Davis When stress is preventing normal sleep times (6 to 8 hours, recommended), an officer can quickly encounter sleep deprivation. A study conducted in 2011 compared the effects of sleep deprivation to excessive drinking of alcohol and found the effects on a driver were very similar. Both sleep deprivation and alcohol caused impaired speech, inability to balance, impaired eye-hand coordination, and falling asleep behind the wheel (Senjo, 2011). When officers are constantly fatigued after their shift, they often do not find the time to unwind, change gears, and enjoy their time off away from the job.

@maslow...Thanks, and thanks for refraining from the foul mouthed friend requests tonight.

Throwback: Stop calling me Maslow, I have tried to be nice and let bygones be bygones.............

@maslow....That's who you are. It wasn't a very becoming personality, either. Very low brow. The poll you posted was posted as an attack in the title, and in your initial offering. You also attacked me for defeating your position with knowledge gained by experience. Real world knowledge. Then came the insulting friend requests and threats of having me removed from this site because my argument bested yours. Try to remember: higher education does not mean higher intelligence. I think you greatly underestimate me because I chose police work. Very common mistake, but ill advised.

@theteamnoob: I'm trying to identify a means by which you can prove you believe no life, even your own is of value. I just can't think of one.
Forthelulz says2016-08-12T12:04:28.2117069Z
No lives matter, but organizations may deem some worthy of devoting effort to preserve. Ideologically, I am all for supporting the police, though.

@Forthelulz: OK

Throwback: You just have a problem with me in general, I have told you your job was important and praised for such. You purposely want to argue and be pusillanimous. Just leave me alone, I cannot talk to you in any manner that is within the realm of your understanding. I don not agree with your world view and find you generally a fatalistic miserable person. That's fine you are free to choose what ever path of life you want it is not my job to enlighten nor entertain you. Good bye.

Karlmarx59 Police have been killed in Baton Rouge and Dallas by anti police terrorists. They have also been physically attacked in Minneapolis during BLM protests. Police are stressed partly due to BLM members calls to kill them and the recent attacks.
Throwback says2016-08-13T04:39:10.1524049Z
@Dilara: The leftists like Obama, Clinton, Holder, and Lynch expected the unrest to follow what they helped to incite. It's straight from the writings of their dear mentor, Saul Alinsky. I'm sure maslow is familiar with his writings as well.
karlmarx59 says2016-08-14T01:36:16.0435883Z
Dilara: I am aware of the tragedies befallen the police that have been televised. I was speaking in general terms about everyday challenges the police face in good faith but you like Throwback have negative fatalistic attitudes where no matter what is said, you have to challenge it as if it doesn't meet your standards of "good enough." I said now for the third time...I support the police, they are overworked and underpaid, they have a dangerous job, any job dealing with diversity in the public is highly stressful and then you have violent people coming at you. It is a dangerous job and I highly praise the men and women in america who choose to take that immense responsibility. I commend them very much. I have a brother in law in America who has served on the NYPD for 25 years, so I am no stranger to how the American police force works. He was a first responder on 9/11 and fought in Viet Nam. So if you and Throw back can come down off your huffy bikes and realize that you two are not all knowing and all seeing in this world maybe you might learn something. And by the way it took 8 long years to obtain my PhD the first time because I got it in the US and my English was my second language so nothing has been given to me. So, this crap about education is getting old Throwback, I earned everything I have the hard way, just like YOU.
karlmarx59 says2016-08-14T01:39:18.7363594Z
Throwback my mentor is Marx, Nietzsche, Jung, Freud, Zinn, and Choamsky so get your Facts straight and stop running your pie hole about things you know nothing about. I don't tell you how to police your town, so don't tell me about psychology and philosophy. Besides I am not a US citizen so I do not vote.
Throwback says2016-08-14T02:22:00.8082474Z
@maslow.....When I suggested you were familiar with Saul Alinsky's writings, it was said because you, like him, are a detestable, humanity hating, profanie, vulgar, self important, pseudo intellectual who would envision a world where everyone is properly victimized by an overbearing government.
Throwback says2016-08-14T02:24:12.2563752Z
@maslow....When you send me friend requests, like the one I just ignored, do me a favor and at least entertain me again with your elitist profanity.

Karlmarx59 Because of BLM police face more hostility, aggression and resentment in every day life. https://www.youtube.com/user/ColinFlaherty712 I am just pointing this out. I didn't say I knew everything. When did I say you had everything given to you?
karlmarx59 says2016-08-16T02:29:35.8308565Z
Throwback: My name on here is karlmarx59 and you have proved yet again you are a blathering liar. Stop whining to me about your inferiority complex and your life's failures. No, most people who do not attend university are no less intelligent or less able to achieve than anyone else, but in YOU specific case, that is the truth. You are just stupid and childish. Stop bothering me loser. No one cares what you have to say anymore because you have become fixated on harassing me, not that what you ever said before was a barn burner. I tried to give you credit and respect, but you spit in my face figuratively. So, go F*ck yourself cause nobody else will you wrinkled old has been.
