Do Americans have the right to be ignorant?

I feel like I skipped something while creating this poll...

  • Yes, Americans do have the right to be ignorant if they chose to be.

  • No, Americans do not have the right to be ignorant.

  • I'm usually the first to laugh at ignorant people (specifically Americans) but of course everyone has the right to be in the dark on certain subjects. I mean when it comes to basic sh*t, yeah, try to engage your brain a bit, but in all reality, not a hell of a lot if so important where people should be forced to learn it all.

  • What is the alternative? American's don't have the right to be ignorant? How is non-ignorance measured, let alone achieved? What should we do to those who are ignorant? Who judges who is ignorant?

  • Sure, not particularly happy that so many choose to do so but they have that right.

  • Yeah, if you want to be ignorant like Duck Dynasty or John Stewart, you have every right to be.

Think of the comedic relief! Ignorant Americans are one of my favorite source of entertainment.
