I can kind of agree with you 003d, but this is also a generalization. Most gay people can't even be told a part right away.
I never had a giant coming out big deal because it isn't a big deal.
His point is pretty irrelevant also. The LGBT movement is political, more so then social. There was once a guy I knew who I talked to on a regular basis. It took me months before I realized he was gay.
Sometimes there are feminine males that heterosexual and masculine homosexuals that you never would have suspected. I mean I understand entirely that POV because it is annoying when gay/bisexuals/ect say "we're normal people" then create a giant scene of pseudo-heroism for simply admitting their sexuality. But it's not enough for me to say it's bad. In time there won't be giant annoying mass protests just the same way there aren't many (if any) race equality protests.
My only problem with minority groups, is sometimes they adopt stereotypes to differentiate themselves. Like the "gay voice" as its been called. I just don't see why so many have it, unless they are trying to sound that way. Its quite sad when people can't use their natural voice.
Yeah I get it. Nearly every homosexual male I know has a high voice but for my self, I have a tenor-baritone. I never really questioned whether they do it on purpose or if it's just some weird reason that comes along with homosexuality.
Lol, yeah, people should be their self. Acting like the flock contradicts the argument that homosexuality is just different.
Anyways, somebody should do a study on the "high voice" phenomenon.
@Jifpop09 @discomfiting From some minor research that I've done, some science shows that homosexual males often have higher levels of estrogen and lower levels of testosterone than heterosexual males do. That might be the cause, but don't quote me on that.
I notice that most homosexuals I know are definitely lacking in testosterone, but not all. I believe homosexuality is a choice. Everything is, and there is literally no evidence on a gay gene.
Perhaps a lot gay males have high voices for the same reason many africans americans have their photonics and pronunciation? Maybe it's just culturalized. But idk jif, I never woke up and thought "well im going to be gay now." to act on it, is definitely a choice though. I believe homosexuality is the result of several things; birth order, environment, brain format & epigenetics. But that's all theorized but it is the most popular and scientifically accepted theory.
I think homosexuality is the result of social interaction. Not genetic composition.
Either way, regardless of how anybody wants to theorize whether homosexuals, bisexuals, ect have a choice in it or not, i don't believe it matter to whether they should be treated as equals or not. They're still people.
Exactly, and its time conservative america treats them like it.
@Jifpop09 - Is there a straight gene then? You are just choosing to be straight?
There are no sexuality genes. Social interaction and personality leads us to our sexual choices. I do believe, that some people choose to be straight out of conformity.
Actually, there has been studies of homosexual males. Apparently, if a mother has children and most of them are boys, the younger boy is more likely to be gay because the male fetus slowly gets used to being in a female body that it ends up being more feminine then the others.
Homosexuality is god's way of insuring that the truly gifted aren't burdened with children.
I agree with LGBT entitlement to be equal both civilly and criminally in the US, but in general, I hate mass protest movements. Anyways, I can't say I understand it, but I certainly don't mind it.
I heard a comment from someone that by making a big deal out of every celebrity that comes out of the closet, you make it seem like every coming out is a big deal. Might not be the point here, but maybe if they acted as if there was nothing different about them, it wouldn't be a issue.
