Feminism exists very much on a spectrum; that is not all feminists are the same. From my personal experience, most mild to moderate feminists are not sexists. It is only the militant ones who fall under the category of sexism. While mild to moderate feminism I believe can be healthy, militant feminism is extremist and abhorrent. I have also yet to meet a happy extreme feminist. They all seem to be quite miserable.
Stefy says2015-07-15T19:31:27.3713499-05:00
Your right. But its important to remember that the normal ones who want equal pay and military service are in the majority. The miserable militant jerks who want to stomp on men or something are very much in the minority. I can say this first hand im in the femenist community and in clibs and stuff for it. Theres only about 3 or 4 that ive met where i was freaked out by their extremism. I just hate it when people completely ignore sexism and discriminatiom against women because they met a militant femenist once and he/she was mean.

There is no sexism against women
komododragon8 says2015-07-15T20:25:43.7184873-05:00
Andrew: tell that to women living in the middle east.
Haroush says2015-07-15T21:21:03.1097410-05:00
I see plenty of militant women at Gold's Gym..
Haroush says2015-07-15T21:26:49.7242134-05:00
I've noticed more and more women are trying to act like men aren't needed. Honestly, I'd be happy if all of us men died so they'd realize how much of an idiot they are.

Komododragon8 : I was talking about the "Sexism" that feminist talk about is stupid minor annoyances or false statistics like sexual objectification (1. It doesn't only happen to women. 2. We've been doing since humans first existed so why does it matter now), 1 in 5 women are raped ( Its more like 1 in 476 ( .2% chance)), Misreading, or the idea that a woman makes 77 cents to a mans dollar (Paying someone less than someone else because of Race, Gender, or Sexuality is a crime.). If they were talking about ISIS and the actual sexism they inflict against them would actually consider being a feminist.
komododragon8 says2015-07-16T16:25:59.7093952-05:00
Feminist organizations help women gain representation in other countries along with helping victims of sexual assault. I also have no idea where you got that rape statistic but it is clearly false:
Andrew_The_Athiest says2015-07-16T20:47:37.1072827-05:00
I was wrong it was actually 7.6 in 1000 or 29 in 1000 http://thefederalist.Com/2014/12/11/new-doj-data-on-sexual-assaults-college-students-are-actually-less-likely-to-be-victimized/ http://articles.Baltimoresun.Com/2014-09-26/news/bs-ed-rape-statistics-20140928_1_22-percent-13-percent-30-percent http://www.Avoiceformen.Com/mens-rights/false-rape-culture/lies-damned-lies-and-rape-statistics/
komododragon8 says2015-07-17T00:50:33.5940298-05:00
Those numbers are still way off, most likely they are only basing them on a single form of rape and do not take into account the actions which are still defined as rape. Either way rape is a big problem in the US and in other countries and is clearly an important thing to fight.
Stefy says2015-07-17T14:02:53.0939012-05:00
1 in 5 women IN THE US is a victim of rape or attempted rape. Thats from the CDC.
Haroush says2015-07-17T19:14:52.1644206-05:00
Who is more likely to die from suicide men or women?
komododragon8 says2015-07-17T20:17:33.8992012-05:00
Men are more likely to successfully kill themselves, women however try to kill themselves more often.
Stefy says2015-07-17T20:22:20.8302049-05:00
Andrew the Athiest: Are you freaking kidding me? We've been doing sexist behavior forever so clearly it must not matter. I love how many people who don't believe in sexism against women have never been women.
Haroush says2015-07-19T08:01:59.9701112-05:00
How can you try to kill yourself? For example, can you try to turn on a light? No. You either turn it it on or off. Perhaps, women self harm more, but that isn't the same thing as suicide. Men are also more likely to be a victim of homicide.
komododragon8 says2015-07-19T11:02:36.8132925-05:00
Haroush: Its actually quite easy to fail at killing yourself infact many people do. Drugoverdose is a common way with which women attempt suicide but it has a high failure rate. Men on the other hand are more likely to use a firearm or hanging, methods which are far more successful. Also you say that men are victims of homicide more often but your forgetting that men are also the killers in most of those instances too. Murder cases are also heavily investigated and the perpetrator is often caught.

"Do Benatar and Farrell have a point? A handful of statistics seems to bear out their thesis. Not only are men more likely to be conscripted into military service, to be the victims of violence, and to lose custody of their children in the event of a divorce, but tests conducted in 2009 by the programme for international student assessment, carried out by the OECD thinktank, showed that boys lag a year behind girls at reading in every industrialised country. They work longer hours, too: in 2010 the Office for National Statistics found that men in the UK work an average of 39 hours a week, compared with 34 for women. Healthwise, men develop heart disease 10 years earlier than women, on average, and young men are three times more likely to commit suicide." "Men are also increasingly the butt of jokes. In a recent article for Grazia magazine, one male writer took exception to comedian Jo Brand claiming that her favourite man was "a dead one" and an advertisement for oven cleaner with the tagline: "So easy, even a man can do it." In a Guardian article on Friday, it was pointed out that the stereotyped image of a man incapable of growing up has become a staple of US film comedies – the most recent example being Jeff, Who Lives at Home, starring Jason Segel as a man still living with his long-suffering mother who lets him smoke weed in her basement." "In her 2008 book The Sexual Paradox, the psychologist and journalist Susan Pinker covered some of the same territory, also highlighting the anti-male bias in education and preventative medicine. "The majority of children with developmental delays, behavioural and learning problems are male," she says. "For the most part, our school system fails them. Many end up dropping out. Our mental health system, too, is focused on helping those who seek out assistance. That's not the forte of most men." http://www.Theguardian.Com/society/2012/may/13/men-victims-new-oppression

While these problems do exist they are not caused by evil women who dont care about the lives of men, these issues have always existed and occur at the hands of our own gender. The companies in which men work for long hours and are in great danger are run by men. Men are more likely to be conscripted because our leaders do not consider women to be good fighters. For example when women were trying to gain access to combat roles in the military, men said that they would be too weak and emotional for combat roles. These problems we brought upon ourselves by viewing women as useless. The thing about men being the butt of every joke is simply not true unless all those jokes about a women flying a plane have been banned. Feminist organizations are not behind all of this sexism against men, traditional ideas of gender roles are. Feminist organizations supported the redefining of rape to include male victims along with supporting legislation designed to reduce prison rape. Feminist organizations supported legislation which allowed men to join professions which were once women only, and allowed women to join the military in combat roles, taking some of the pressure of men. This is a quote by Charles Clymer who is an army veteran "Feminists have always recognized the injustice of drafting only men, and as a man and veteran, that shows me they are just as much about men as they do women"
Haroush says2015-07-19T20:28:53.4932523-05:00
Oh, come on now. Komo, you know that isn't true that the harm done to men is mainly done by it's own gender. That is just nonsense. As a matter in fact men never wanted women to join them in combat in the first place. That was forced upon men. Men never complained about needing help from women on the combat field. And if you see this as sexist, so be it. I will say this though, there was a point of time where feminism was good, but it became radicalized during hippie movement and so on. Furthermore, I believe by having women on the front lines has greatly hindered the use of men in the military being men are forced out of leadership roles top have women take their position in the name of feminism. Men were always meant to be dominant and we should always be that way. Tell me something, why is it men are lagging behind women in education greatly? Yet no one is doing nothing about it. Nothing. It's clear men aren't important anymore in today's society as women are seen as more important and taking leadership roles more and more making men feel oppressed by women.

Do you know what Harou, I change my mind, women shouldnt join men on the battlefield, they should replace them. Think about it women do have superior multi tasking skills and are doing far better than us in the classroom. In addition, imagine what would happen when the terrorists encountered these female soldiers during "that time of the month", they would be running for their lives faster than a vegetarian from a barbecue.
Haroush says2015-07-20T10:56:37.9774340-05:00
As far as fighting ISIS goes, you don't really need to use any troops. Just drop a crap load of bacon over their camps and let the pigs run loose on their territory.. That will do it. We have to make sure we make the pigs stampede onto their territory too.
