Just kidding. I'm happy for you folks.
I do believe in a God, but I'm starting to have my doubts.
This has got to be the overly used topic on this site.
Ikr
Ok, AGod wouldent be the correct term I would use... There is only ONE God the way I see it
Loveshismom Why would anybody want to change your mind? If you believe in God, that is your core belief system, it isn't for people to try and change, although Christians love their proselytizing. You, yourself have to make that choice and live it. I was a Christian, a devout Catholic most of my life and now I vehemently do not believe in God, Jesus, the bible or the church or any of that gruff. I totally respect the new Pope though. I just don't accept the ideologies anymore, but as with most religions, the "people" who "follow" them, contort, confound, and make grotesque what should be a great loving and embracing idea for all of mankind no matter which sect. Especially in America. What the ??
I just wish religion will finally die in the future.
Lucky for you it wont... SO GET OVER IT!
XLAV I man finally starts to evolve again , it will
"the big bang is one of the only theories that makes sense as to why our universe exist and is slowly moving outward still. But how could the ingredients all get mixed up into one giant exploding pot" Quantum Fluctuations explain it perfectly.
" how did that part happen?" Quantum Fluctuations are uncaused events, we know this already. That is why it works so well.
God makes sense..
In what way
Oye.
Because, god makes sense. Think about it. A god.... Something more powerful than you.. Selfless humbliness to an all known being who also has an emotional reaction to everything you do... He also has been pissed at the bad things you do since the beginning of his existence because he is omniscient.. Yay!!!
If God is so selfless then why do literally countless numbers of sins involve your unconditional attention, love & devotion to him? That's not selflessness, that's egotism.
If there is no life after death, then why the dead bodies of Muslim Martyrs and saints are preserved in fresh condition with fresh blood in their graves since centuries and years without used any chemicals.?
If there is no God then how do you explain conscience?
I just watched the movie Gods not Dead, it was awesome.
I believe in hope...And it's where the idea of god is derived from...
Perplexed, that actually is the exact opposite where God is derived from..
Conscience is not a good argument for god...Being that there is nothing to compare our consciousness too
conscience could be a result of a chemistry...Not saying that it is, but that is far more probable then the old god of the gaps argument...
Demonlord343
hope is survival mechanism...Death is hopeless and some need to feel better about it somehow, granted those that rely on dogma suck any and all hope out of it...I agree with that...
There is a difference between a deist and a theist...A big one.
That is not true. Deism believe in a higher architect that made the universe. This is theism.. And fear of death, and unknown of what comes afterwards is what made God in the first place..
Deism gives the unknown no other attributes OTHER than the claim of a first uncaused cause...There is no dogma in deism...Theism gives attributes to the first uncaused cause like being an objective moral author...There is no moral code in deism...
I urge everyone reading to research deism...
As per wiki
" is the belief that reason and observation of the natural world are sufficient to determine the existence of a Creator, ACCOMPANIED with the REJECTION of REVELATION and AUTHORITY as a SOURCE of RELIGIOUS KNOWLEDGE."
Deism is a religion!!! Its a branch of THEISM!! Theism-the belief of a higher being in the universe.
So, thus, Deism=Theism.
What does religion mean? = system of beliefs
So, perplexed, how is deism not theism? Because i just defined both, and you found deism, so where is the confusion?
Who ever has doubts is because they're weak and cannot trust in such topic ,person or thing.(Lack of faith)
Theism derived from deism...Don't like it, oh well
Yes. There is nothing you can say that will make me not believe in God. If you think you can do that, I do not mind debating this with you: "my opponent will be an atheist by the end of the voting period."
I do believe in Him. No, there is no empirical proof of His existence. That would make a lot of things meaningless for us. The world is simply too complex to be made by chance. A Creator only makes sense.
I believe in God because i notice evidence all around me. i have an emotional and intellectual relationship with God. I will give one and only one reason to believe if not emotionally but intellectually. If you think about it, the big bang is one of the only theories that makes sense as to why our universe exist and is slowly moving outward still. But how could the ingredients all get mixed up into one giant exploding pot, well several conclusions can be determined. But screw that, when it gets explained everything is okay until someone says, how did that part happen? well this shows how eventually you would have to come to the conclusion that something else had to initiate the elements that would turn into a giant chain reaction and build universe. So this is one of many reasons i have for believing.
I'm an agnostic theist. I do believe in a higher power, but we cannot prove that God does or does not exist.
Those are mad man near me who do not accept the research of science and saying of common sense about any matter, and if you invite them to research themselves if they have doubt on your research, then they do not be ready for it too. (1) The Earth is a nature. It cannot tell a lie. It cannot favor or support wrong thinking or wrong beliefs or wrong lifestyles. It is 100% true and neutral. It obeys only true God or true followers of God. It doesn't obey any other fabricated Gods or any followers of fabricated Gods or any Atheists. It doesn’t have capacity to preserve any dead body from decay in it. (2) But, we have researched that there are hundreds fresh dead bodies with fresh blood of Muslim Martyrs and saints who are in sleeping condition like alive person and preserved from decay in their graves since centuries and years without used any chemicals. (3) So, if you will see through your own eyes any fresh dead bodies with fresh blood of Muslim Martyr, or Muslim saint or true Muslim who is preserved in his grave in sleeping condition like alive person since centuries or years without used any chemicals, then I ask you that you will convert to Islam or not? If yes, then contact us. If not, then why not? (4) So, if Holy Quran is a false book, Islam is a false religion, Last prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is a false prophet and God of Islam is a false God, then why the dead bodies of their true followers are in fresh condition with fresh blood since centuries and years without used any chemicals and why there is no any fresh dead bodies with fresh blood of any 5 Billion Atheists and Non-Muslims who is preserved from decay without used any chemicals since the time of last prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). (5) I ask you that earth has capacity to preserve any dead body from decay in it forever without used any chemicals or no? (6) I ask to all Atheists that why do you not believe on existence of God of Islam, that who preserved the dead bodies of Muslim Martyrs and Muslim saints in fresh condition with fresh blood without used any chemicals since centuries and years? (7) Why He didn’t preserve any dead bodies of 5 Billion Atheists and Non-Muslims in fresh condition with fresh blood since the time of last prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)? god is real.
NO. And if this poll is up here one more time I will hunt you down and bring hell with me.
No i don't. How many times will this be necessary to debate over? This is topic has been so overused for debating. Get a new topic.
Makes no sense, superstitious nonsense
There is no evidence for a god and no need for a God to exist.
No evidence - none - zilch. Nor do I believe in Zeus, Odin, fairies, Santa Claus or the patriotism of the Koch brothers.
We are guided by the principals of logic and reason. Since it is our natural inclination to be skeptical, any and all claims are subject to scrutiny. The scrutiny is based on the criteria we use to determine any claims are either false or true, and that standard is the observance of objective evidence. Any claim that has to be taken with without meeting this criteria is thusly rendered unfalsifiable. Generally it is a guiding principle that gullibility is not a preferred position to take when making decisions based on claims presented. Therefore any claims about attributes about something there is no criteria for is rejected. got a problem with that, tough.
