  • Let me get this straight: You just want to switch the focus away from exactly how much we should coddle people to how much of our bodies we should shove tech into? On top of that, who cares if I believe that the flesh is weak and replace most of my body with electronics?

  • No, because I'd like to see both parties as technoprogressive

  • I like how it is now, also I have no idea what techno progressivism is so......

  • I'm good with our good ol' parties and I don't exactly want to look like Raiden from MGS

  • There's a problem with your premise here: The ideals of the two names you suggest do NOT line up with the parties. For example, Technoprogressivism = Democratic rule for social change through the use of technology. In this definition, "Democratic" means that Democratic process, NOT the Democratic party (Left-Wing, Socialists, Progressives, etc.). It is actually defined as freedom, free thinking, free choices, liberation; this is everything the modern day Republicans stand for. || Bioconservatism = Literally breaks down to "Conservative Biology" and is simply a reluctance to accepting human advancement through technological advancements. This breaks down into "Left-wing bioconservative" and "Right-wing bioconservative" which seems to confuse people into thinking it relates to politics or political ideology in a Democratic system. In fact, the two break down as follows: Left-Wing = The belief that technologies are developed by a male dominated (or masculine religious figures) capitalist systems and for this reason, technologies need to be banned or the developing systems changed. || Right-wing = These persons use religious beliefs and teachings to reject technology. They also believe in population control in order to sustain a technology free lifestyle citing religious teachings as explanation. || Do NOT get tripped up by the use of "Social Equality" at times during SOME definitions of "Right-wing" as both sides of the coin believe in "social equality"; however, remember that "social equality" is NOT in reference to station, financial standing, or power & control; instead, it very literally means social interactions within your community. Bioconservatism is currently trying to mutate itself into the political spectrum using the fairly recently coined opposites of "Bioconservatives" and "Bioliberals". However, the overly-forced fabrication of "Bioliberals" and it's branch off of "Transhumanism", as well as the overly-forced definition alteration of "Bioconservatism" in the attempt to force-mold a pro or con stance in regards to technology and its impact on human evolution into a true and literal political ideology has been such a failure to this point that even individuals claiming to represent one party or the other, still fail to provide clear & concise definitions and answers to questions based on their self-identified "new political ideology". || WOW, I haven't discussed those in a few years. Nice topic, but these words should NOT be used as replacements to Republican and Democrat as they make no sense.

Misleading. The Republicans are in favor of increased tech, save the religious nuts who don't tend to vote much anyway.

They should both be technoprogressive, but as we approach a more post human world, the dividing lines won't be Republican and Democrat, but Neo Luddites and technoprogressives.

Why would they replace anything? It's just another stance. I'm an independent liberal, but on terms of technology, I'm techno-progressive.

For those who do not know, people who would tell you fusing with computers, creating intelligent, aware, AI's, etc, is bad, that is a bio-conservative. Techno-progressive is for the progress of science, social ethic involved in technologies.
