  • It's honestly unecissary and that's not a major majority

  • I'll put the grammar aside for a moment because, what else can I do? Which rights? The right to pay for insurance for medical care approved by the AMA? Yes. The right to marry any gender? Yep. The right to not be fired because they are trans? Yes. What type of rights? Constitutional rights? Sure. Rights afforded by legislation or the common law? yes. Rights we provide in society to make us all more kind and decent? Yes The right to rob a bank without consequence? No.

  • I believe there are only two genders but who am I to stop people from being who they want to be.

  • Yes. I support Transgender Rights. Transgender Rights, as far as I'm concerned, are more important than the right to smoke a joint (marijuana) and the right to worship imaginary gods. Transgender rights are ACTUAL civil rights.

  • I think that everyone should get the same rights no matter what gender, sex, race, etc. This shouldn't even be an issue, people are people. The people who think that anyone who isn't heterosexual and cisgender are the ones that need help though since they can lead to harm to [LGBT] individuals.

  • No, you don't okay with rights. That's not proper grammar.

  • Transgendered people are actually people with mental illness who believe they're the opposite gender. Do they have basic human rights like everyone else? Yes. Do they have special rights becuase they're a "minority"? No.

  • No group of people should be given special rights just for them just because they say so. Trannies have some kind of psychological/mental issue that should be addressed not ignored that's the real tragedy here.

  • Because that's not how grammar works. Should it say do I BELIEVE in transgender rights? If that was what it meant, then my answer would be yes, but Okay is not a verb. I don't okay anything

  • Hellllllll Naaaa, transgenders are an obanation to our great soicity here in merica! Yeeee Hawwww.

I'm perfectly fine with it as long as I am able to apply for retirement benefits because I feel old enough.

Gender dysphoria is not a mental illness. There is also evidence to suggest that it has biological, rather than just psychological, roots - the idea that people do it 'for attention' or to 'feel special' is ridiculous. Trans people don't choose to be trans anymore than cis people choose to be cis. Trans people have higher rates of depression and anxiety - who would choose that? And who said anything about 'special rights'? The right to not get fired based on gender identity, the right to marry, these aren't 'special rights'. Nobody is trying to take rights away from cis people.

(Preach cyber_onion, you just forgot that trans, well the LGBTQ community as a whole has higher risks of suicide, abuse, and being a victim of hate crime). I think that it's a shame that there needs to be laws in order to protect the LGBTQ community. I believe that people are people whether or not they are cisgender, trans, gay, straight, bi, whatever, but because of (a certain religion) "homophobia" is a thing. In many cultures it was highly accepted and even seen better than being straight, (native Americans the assumption that someone who loved their same sex or both was two spirited, meaning they are essentially two people in one making them stronger, smarter, and more of a godly figure), most of Asia was the same way with acceptance until the West (North America and Western Europe) started leaving a foot print there. It's a shame that a first world country like America needs special laws to protect the LGBTQ community from bigots, but it needs to be done, just as special laws are there to protect those of color, laws to protect those who are rainbow.
