  • Sorry, the day I don't support gay marriage is the day someone gives a legitimate reason why- and religion doesn't count.

  • Everyone has the right to get married to the person they love.

  • Yes we do, can we stop with these polls, they bug me

  • You are an idiot if you are against gay marriage.

  • It is sad that there is still a poll for this OF COURSE I support equality

  • People have the right to marry whoever they love, regardless of gender or sex.

  • There are really no logical arguments against it.

  • Just like the first amendment stated: freedom speech= freedom of expression. Love is a form of expression and anyone can marry or love whomever they may like. Gay marriage is not a privilege, its a right.

  • Disliking gay people is linked to having a lower IQ. Just sayin', look it up.

  • Give me a reason not to. Right now. Seeing how I would probably get some similar responses, I'll just rebuttal some of them now. "Well, in the Bible.." one might say. Yeah, in the Old Testament book called Leviticus. The same book that tells you not to mix fabrics.(Don't believe me? Leviticus 19:19, look it up) "But we were made to love the opposite sex!" Another may reply. Nope, perfectly natural. Again, 5 second Google search. Anyone else want to give me a reason not to support it?

  • Anyone who says otherwise is very closed minded.

  • Gays can get married just like anyone else. just not to each other- that's not marriage.

  • Why are we treating homosexuals like they are a race? We act like they deserve rights as if they are their own kind. In the consitution of The U.S. it was founded on the idea of a man and a woman coming together, not two of the same sex. And if you do not believe in The Holy bible, scientifically, our bodies were designed to be with the opposite sex.

  • Get government out of marriage. Be rid of the monopoly on it and be rid of the benefits of it. Work around with some Civil Union laws for the benefits. At least then, Gays can pretend to be married.

  • Marriage in both genders is a negative institution.

  • God created man and woman to be married. Adam and Eve didn't go hunting off to find someone their sex. I'm not saying that gay people are bad, I'm saying that being gay is just not what we were made to do.

  • Homosexuality is a sin according to the bible 1 Corinthians 6:9-10

According to the Bible marriage was ment for a man and a woman. No acceptions.

Our laws are not based on the bible.

Emposoccer: what does the US constitution have to do with same sex marriage?
PapaNolan says2015-01-12T21:29:14.2115260-06:00
@komododragon8 the 9th amendment protects gay marriage.
komododragon8 says2015-01-12T21:31:25.0026805-06:00
PapaNolan: I agree with you and I would argue that the 14th amendment protects it as well. However I was referring to someone on the con side who said the constitution was against it.

I love how most of the intolerance comes from the pro-SSM side.
Hanspete says2015-01-12T22:09:56.3873720-06:00
@Tonius5 There is so much truth in that statement.
rikomalpense says2015-01-12T23:35:07.8378865-06:00
@Tonius5 Sorry friend, but not supporting bigotry is not intolerance, just like you wouldn't call someone criticizing KKK ideology to be intolerant.

I dont have any problem with any kind of marriage.
funnycn says2015-01-13T07:01:58.8930961-06:00
@Riko Scientifically the two sexes are male and female and the two together make a child. Not a religious reason and it's legitimate since it goes against scientific principles. @Papa A logical fallacy. @Epic Read what I said to Riko. Pro reasons have no logic if anything.
funnycn says2015-01-13T07:04:35.4526889-06:00
@Banjo Marriage is a recognized union between two people. If the public and courts recognize them as a married couple, they're married. @Empo You're the one of the people that had a logical reason. @Tonius You're the other one that made sense.
funnycn says2015-01-13T07:06:07.2575119-06:00
Conclusion: Pro arguments were poorly designed (the ones I evaluated not the ones that said "I hate this poll" but still voted...Because if you hate it why did you vote?) and were emotional not logical. Con arguments were constructed very well.

@Duncan "It is sad that there is still a poll for this OF COURSE I support equality" Maybe I don't just want your opinion, and maybe someone here hasn't seen this poll, or maybe I haven't for all you know. Stop being self-centered.

I really don't see how this poll bugs people... Is there something I'm missing?
komododragon8 says2015-01-13T09:59:50.4510795-06:00
Gabe: I agree we are constantly getting new members and people will sometimes change their opinion.

Funnycn: How does gay marriage go against scientific principles?
Tonius5 says2015-01-13T12:32:51.6349589-06:00
@Riko What is meant by that is that the collective that supports SSM have more individuals who preach intolerance to those who do not disagree with them. PapaNolan is an example of this (throwing insults instead of arguing for it). I have seen so much name-calling, false-accusations, assumptions, insults, death threats and other things from the pro-SSM side, while very rarely do I ever see anybody on the anti-SSM side doing it.
Tonius5 says2015-01-13T15:31:16.4053281-06:00

Do you people ever get tired of the same poll?
Gabe1e says2015-01-14T11:42:46.8562260-06:00
@Redspectre, do you get tired of saying a poll is the same poll?
Gabe1e says2015-01-14T11:47:06.7876517-06:00
Also, if it's the same poll each time, why is it so popular?
Tonius5 says2015-01-14T13:21:54.9004452-06:00
@komodo This isn't a study done by paid off social justice experts. This is just something I have noticed that is present when you're around this type of stuff long enough.
komododragon8 says2015-01-15T00:59:14.8432172-06:00
Tonius: In many countries gay people are attacked and violently oppressed. In our schools gays are bullied sometimes to the point of suicide. Many preachers want to violently oppress gays with one going so far to say it was the governments job to execute homosexuals.
Tonius5 says2015-01-17T17:57:16.0051450-06:00
I have yet to see an act of violence by Christians towards homosexuals.

To me, that looks like an isolated incident perpetrated by a black heart individual.

You asked for an example of a christian attacking a gay person. Thats exactly what I gave you.
