  • Yes, Ukraine has been yelling for help for a while. We can't just ignore them.

  • No, it's too dangerous. It's better to ignore the situation.

@russian_metaphor_man What reasons? I'm split 50/50. On one hand NATO could be escalating the situation down a very dangerous path; on the other, Russia could do a Nazi Germany by eating up it's neighbors left and right if we ignore them.

I don't understand why Putin is always compare to Hitler in this conflict when the Ukrainian government is A) backed by fascist militias and B) killing its own civilians. Russia annexed Crimea after a referendum resulted in 97% of people voting to join Russia. Also, annexing Crimea saved Crimea from the same fate as Donbass. Its NATO who is expanding towards Russia. Ukraine was simply another country America hoped would join NATO but in the process of trying to get Ukraine to do so, destroyed the country.

@RussiaPutinBest I will use different words; I'm saying Russia still might be power hungry if they successfully take Ukraine.
RussiaPutinBest says2015-07-31T06:54:55.1768813Z
Russia defends its interests. I wouldn't call Russia power hungry.
reece says2015-07-31T06:59:55.2748210Z
@RussiaPutinBest Haha don't make me lough. Do you think Russia will potentially have more interests it wants to "defend"?
greatkitteh says2015-07-31T11:57:44.5290726Z
Crimeans Are russian. It Is only fair that they have a chance to be russian. The 97% Vote Is proof, That what Putin did was for the good of earth. Putin wants To secure the Russian Minority, Not annex Ukraine. Obama, on the other hand, Only wants to Counter Putin.
stargate says2015-07-31T12:33:06.1655276Z
Oh come on that vote was not true. It was illegally done by Russia. On top of that Ukrain wants our help, and wants to join NATO. So I say lets help our newfound ally. Russia is helping the rebles so we help the Ukraine government.
stargate says2015-07-31T12:34:20.3890076Z
Also dude they are not russians, they lived in Ukraine. It is still Ukraine. On top of this, this isn't the first time you have done something like thing. Um...Anyone remember the Russian invasion of Georgia?
stargate says2015-07-31T12:35:31.5142654Z
It is time we show Russia can not take land whenever they feel like it. Also I beat the main reason they took that land was for military postilions. That is naval bases.
greatkitteh says2015-07-31T12:47:53.2423591Z
Ukraine joining NATO is more likely Going to Force NATO into giving needless aid instead of detterring Attacks. Also, At least russia Didn't But in My island and force culture.
stargate says2015-07-31T12:49:39.6194410Z
They are trying to join, which if they want our help then why not send our help.
RussiaPutinBest says2015-07-31T15:57:38.6069556Z
The vote and annexation was illegal, just like the US funded coup in Maidan was. Nobody in America or the west seemed to notice this though. And speaking of Russian aggression, what was the American invasion of Iraq all about?
RussiaPutinBest says2015-07-31T16:00:21.3816037Z
Also, illegal or not, the vote was still true. The majority of people in Crimea support Russia. Just to add to this, Russia annexing Crimea saved Crimea from the same fate as Donbass. Not that America really care much about the Ukrainian government killing its own civilians. Why would they when America gives Israel money to kill Palestinians.
Kreakin says2015-07-31T16:11:53.6754612Z
Russia has 3 things to threaten the west, it's UN veto, it's oil/gas & nuclear weapons. The 1st two are currently severely degraded leaving nukes. Hence the missile shield the US wants in the Ukraine. The navy ports are part of the containment but it's mainly missile defense.
stargate says2015-07-31T17:01:32.6548403Z
Yes it is, also it is part of the ongoing war, both sildes has killed civilians.
shalal12 says2015-07-31T17:15:42.2813651Z
The people of Crimea joined Russia by their own decision. Don't USA and its allies wanna learn to respect democracy! The same thing happened to Iran and Syria. When people of Syria chose Assad with more than 80% votes USA and its allies tried to say it was not a true election. Also when Ahmadinejad won the election USA claimed that he has cheated in the election!
Renegader says2015-07-31T18:01:52.0167197Z
Who cares how they annexed Crimea, the people there were Russians. What, they didn't fill out the proper forms, give me a break.
RussiaPutinBest says2015-07-31T19:33:42.0788447Z
"Hence the missile shield the US wants in the Ukraine." I'm sure they would like one in Ukraine. However Russia is interrupting NATO expansion.
RussiaPutinBest says2015-07-31T19:35:34.5271687Z
@Renegader: 100% correct.

Agree with renegader.
RussiaPutinBest says2015-07-31T19:39:51.1338268Z
Russia annexing Crimea saved it from the same fate as Donbass and for this reason alone was the correct move by Russia.
Kreakin says2015-07-31T19:58:33.4672909Z
It was annexed to protect the naval base though, not for any thing the people wanted.
Kreakin says2015-07-31T20:00:21.2171816Z
Russia is not interrupting NATO expansion it is fighting back to avoid total containment it appears. I guess it's a bit of both.

Ad's are playing havok with you too?
Kreakin says2015-07-31T20:03:47.3725031Z
That referendum with not voluntary, any no voters had already fled. No wonder it was high.
Kreakin says2015-07-31T20:04:31.0527831Z
No referendum with real choice polls at 97%
RussiaPutinBest says2015-07-31T20:07:06.6325804Z
The Tartar minority refused to vote so this is was so high. Not because people left Crimea. Nevertheless, the majority of Crimean's supported joining Russia which was already obvious before the referendum even took place. Even a 51% vote is a win and over 60% of the population in Crimea were ethnic Russians.
greatkitteh says2015-07-31T23:13:04.2609032Z
Also, The U.S.A shit first by iverthrowing An democraticaticly elected pro-russian leader, starting the conflict. Crimea, in every way, is better off wih russia. Russia doesn't support neo-nazis.
stargate says2015-08-02T02:31:34.5410262Z
They are not nazis.
RussiaPutinBest says2015-08-02T03:05:06.1115208Z
The majority of Ukrainians are not nazis, but there are some ultra nationalist Ukrainian thugs such as the ones who burned over 40 Russian speaking people (who were pro Russia) alive in an Odessa trade union building on May 2, 2014.
stargate says2015-08-02T03:07:28.7724072Z
Well......That then they should get the death penalty for murder. But we should help them.
RussiaPutinBest says2015-08-02T03:12:50.0160758Z
No investigation was launched into what happened. So they were not punished.

Also, 5,000 Infantry won't do anything against a t-14 Armtata.
FreedomBeforeEquality says2015-08-04T13:38:15.6047005Z
Infantry have been taking out tanks since before you were born. Ours are particularly well armed even.
reece says2015-08-04T14:28:41.3752401Z
NATO isn't actually sending 5000 troops into Ukrain. Their just going to sit on the border.
FreedomBeforeEquality says2015-08-04T15:13:30.7544796Z
He seems to think that that isnt a deterrent though. Even just a few outside forces put in there for defense is a huge deal ... It shows the invading nation where the UN allies draw the line in the sand. We dont expect 5000 troops to win the war by themselves ... Theyre there to show a presence and send a message.

5,000 American troops are being sent to train Ukrainian forces. America already has thousands of men in eastern Europe anyway.
