@Raymond, I would say artificial limbs are just replacements. Nothing more. The same with most other replacements. Though I am more so talking about human machines with a layer of skin. That is what I am talking about.

They exist. Neil Harbisson, the world's first "cybernetic organism", as he prefers to be called, is already campaigning for cyborg rights, as the camera that allows him to sense colours after being colorblind his whole life, has prevented him from visiting cinemas and the like in fear of him recording them illegally. People have already progressed into the cyborg age, and there is a group of people known as "biohackers" or "grinders" who do things like inserting chips into their hands to unlock doors and a whole variety of other things.
