  • Humans are naturally polygamous. As long as all people consent, I see nothing wrong with it.

  • Absolutely. Toleration for religious, social, and sexual diversity is very important. Of course, there's something undignified about "legalizing" any kind of relationship, but as long as we're at it we might as well fight for equality and equity.

  • I don't like it but it's your right.

  • I don't see why not. Having one spouse seems hard enough if you can handle more than one good for you.

  • Coming from a man who thinks homosexuality is fine and dandy in society, there should also be equal rights to those who choose a polygamous lifestyle. Hell if Pope can turn a blind eye on Charlemagne, one of Christianities unspoken heroes, on his multiple wives then why can't I damnit. (figuratively speaking of course, :p)

  • As long as women are allowed to marry multiple partners as well.

  • Yes, of course I do because I support full marriage equality. An adult, REGARDLESS OF GENDER, should be free to marry any and all consenting adults. It is absurd that in most place, it is entirely legal to live with and have children with more than one lover, but NOT be legally married to both of them at the same time even though that is what everyone wants. The paperwork issues can all be resolved. Stand up for the rights of ALL adults and support full marriage equality.

  • I think It is fun to have more than one sexual partner. I feel you can truly Love many people. Jealousy is simply silly!

  • Polygamy is a religion. Last I checked this was a free country. People should be aloud to live whatever religion they want. I say "live and let live" as long as no one is getting abused or killed.

  • It only makes sense in our modern world. We already openly allow poly relationships polygamy shouldn't be excluded. If a man wants multiple wives or a woman multiple husbands and all involved consent then why is it a problem?

  • It's not hurting anyone, as long as all people involved agree to it. Humans seek multiple partners by default. Polygamy is a perfectly natural, harmless form of marriage.

  • Population is soaring as it is, why support a hideous practice which demotes women and encourages massive numbers of offspring?

  • I would only support polygamy being legal if women were also encouraged and allowed to have multiple husbands. Personally, having just one wife is sometimes one too many for me.

  • Polygamy weakens marriage's unity. Commitment is essential in family and polygamy weakens all of that.

  • No never!

  • Marriage is going to start losing any meaning whatsoever...

Religious tolerance may be important, yet if should NEVER interfere with the law. It has interfered with the Abortion debate and we should not allow it to cause Polygamy to become an issue again.

Lets look at the Mormons.. Its not to uncommon for the older men to drive all the younger men out of town to keep all the wives to themselves.
