Every accepted idea was once radical. But not every ridical idea becomes accepted. A point structured debating system encourages following existing beliefs for the best possibilty of winning. Thus inhibiting new ideas.
@Furyan5 there is no worth believing in claims that are fundamental to our existence. It's better to admit what you don't know than to be a hypocrite. Science and morality in general evolve at all times while many theologians hold on to primitive ideologies. It's pathetic. Maybe i should of made what i said more clear.
You tell me? How much closer are we today than we were a hundred years ago? I'll tell you. Nowhere. Do you know the definition of stupidity??? Doing the same thing again and again and expecting a different result.
Critical yes. Thinker...... That's debatable. Guess it depends on ones definition of thinking. I'd say you have a critcal grasp on other peoples thoughts. Can you think for yourself? We'll see. Review my debate "Belief in god is subjective". Its a theory I'm developing. I challenge you to come up with a pro or con statement of your own creation.
