El Niño is about to hit again.

Posted by: reece

El Niño is a condition that occurs every 2-7 years which lead to warm seas for 9-24 months. In 1998, the event killed 16% of the world's coral. This time scientists believe 38% will be affected. Global warming doesn't help.

  • An environmental disaster unfolding before our eyes...

  • It's all just hype.

El Niño: an irregularly occurring and complex series of climatic changes affecting the equatorial Pacific region and beyond every few years, characterized by the appearance of unusually warm, nutrient-poor water off northern Peru and Ecuador, typically in late December. The effects of El Niño include reversal of wind patterns across the Pacific, drought in Australasia, and unseasonal heavy rain in South America.

What about Le Garçon? A French speaking minority within El Nino that wants to become it's own independent weather pattern?

@UtherPenguin Le Garçon should wait until it has a enough strength to support itself. Because Le Garçon will be in direct conflict with El Niño once it declares it's independence.

Oh yeah, I remember hearing about El Niño from a Bill Nye episode.
