If it means using the million dollars to fund a cure for cancer, yes.
This is a trolley problem...
Correlation does not imply Causation. I would push the hell out of it.
Depends. If I'm able to then donate 100% of that money to help lots of other people, then it's worth it. I would be happy to die if I knew that thousands of people would be helped by it.
Can I push it multiple times and get more money?
Only if it also ensured that I was taken off the list of people who could die when the button was pressed. Then yeah, I'd push it like 250 times.
Repeatedly...until it broke or there were no more humans left. And not for the money, oh no, I would do this gratis.
PrEsS Sorry mom press sorry dad press sorry child
What if the random person is a family member or friend?
this is the moral obligation. the other option is akin to murder
It would devalue the money very quickly. Sure, it will work for maybe a week, but then prices will be jacked up due to the increased money supply, and then all that money would be worthless. Also, there is a slight chance that the random person who dies is me.
I could be that random person.
Money doesn't mean everything.
A person's life counts more then a few dollars.
You evil people!
There is nothing more precious than life. Money comes and goes.
