For duplicated polls, do you think the newest or oldest poll should be removed?

Just a moderation question. I was originally doing newest, but now i'm doing oldest. Obviously I remove everything in between.

  • The most recent poll should be removed and the original kept.

  • The original poll should be removed and the most recent kept.

18% 2 votes
82% 9 votes
  • It's unfair to have your poll deleted just because a newer one (may not even be better) was created.

  • I don't see why not, that way I don't get notifications when someone votes on something I haven't looked at for over a year.

The one with the most votes/comments ought to be kept, which ever one that may be.

SamStevens: That would be one of the reasons why I switched to removing the original poll.

Sam is this why you voted on all my polls?

The one with the lowest amount of votes or comments. It's annoying because you get 2 different people voting on each and the idea feels wasted because the site took a sh*t on your idea.

Can they not be merged if they are identical? Otherwise I would say just block the newest and bump the oldest.
