  • It's a human body, nothing strange or scary or outrageous. If a woman doesn't want to wear a shirt, she shouldn't have to.

  • Just because your breasts are bigger and have been sexualized, doesn't mean that you have to cover them up. Men are also capable of lactation under extreme amounts of duress or newborns with too many female hormones in their bodies.

  • It's ridiculous that society is afraid of nudity. I mean I know no Human being born with clothes.

  • always made sense to me if guys can go shirtless why not girls? in many tribes women do and there's never an issue

  • 'It'll distract men' is not a good enough excuse in my opinion. Men should be brought up to not over sexualise women, women should not have to be brought up to cover up for the sake of men. This would also help men as women would no longer be able to use the boob push or the low cut tops and short skirts to get what they want over men

  • Consider that some women will refuse to give formula to their baby, but currently cannot breastfeed in public, so allowing it would be a relief to those women

  • Yes, and it would be perfectly natural.

  • any man who says no to this must be gay

  • Why not? Topless is already legal in N.Y. Goes a long way toward equality plus soon it will be a non event as people get used to it. No big deal!

  • Its provacative and wouldn't do.

  • Men have more sexual hormones than women. We did studies on this in the past. A woman can see a man's chest and be fine. A man sees a women test and he's full of extreme sexual tension, and that doesn't translate well.

  • very true ^^^ i could honestly care less though. although i prefer that not happen

  • There is NOTHING as disgusting as a pair of sagging ta-tas! We already have too many of them barely hidden by tanks & tees. And it's always the women with the worst ones who want to show them off! Ugh!

Seriously? Go to the beach and swimming with naked chicks? Sounds nice
ChosenWolff says2014-07-02T11:56:48.5560714-05:00
Boobs are sexual and are used during sex. It's not the same thing.
reece says2014-07-02T12:03:01.9454008-05:00
@ChosenWolff the "chicks" would be topless, not completely naked and a mans chest turns on people the same way a women's chest turns on other people .
discomfiting says2014-07-02T12:03:57.5618186-05:00
Something being sexual is only matter of opinion. I don't see boobs are sexual and a lot of people would agree; while some would disagree. I see a guy's chest as being sexual and so do a lot of people but some don't. A woman can look at her boobs are not see it as sexual and men can look at their chests and not view it as sexual.
AdamLanza-AmericanHero says2014-07-02T12:05:14.7794008-05:00
@chosenwolff so are male chests. Every girl ive been with loves my chest and sucking on my nipples. Everything about the human body has been sexualized so maybe we should all cover up. Don't believe me? Look up "foot fetish" in google images.
ChosenWolff says2014-07-02T12:05:51.3794186-05:00
IDK, boobs are much more sexual than abs according to culture. Should it be like this? No, but racks are sexualized to the point where they're as indecent to show as your vagina. This is how it is, and while some cultures got past this, it's to late now. They have been to sexualized.
ChosenWolff says2014-07-02T12:08:37.9882134-05:00
Let's say we legalize this as not being nudity. Would anybody do this, or would the people who do use it solely for exploitation? That's the problem. Even if it was legal, it would still be culturally wrong, and the only people who would do something society deems as indecent are people who wish to exploit you.
reece says2014-07-02T12:16:18.1102134-05:00
@ChosenWolff You can consider boobs like a women's shoulders in the 1800's.People only sexualize it because it's a hidden part of the females body.So what about just solely for exploitation, have you ever seen HollyWood stars that are men on magazines with their chest showing?
ChosenWolff says2014-07-02T12:17:23.7214180-05:00
I'm for it. I think it's inequal. The only problem is that if it were to actually be implemented, there would be a lot of chaos.
AdamLanza-AmericanHero says2014-07-02T12:17:37.7459079-05:00
What does it matter if it is sexual? Everything in our society has been sexualized. At one time, black people were considered indecent, exploitative, sexually deviant, hooligans that would rape white women and that was ingrained in our society but, we put our foot down and said that society needed to change.
reece says2014-07-02T12:19:46.6801291-05:00
@ChosenWolff That chaos would die down. There would only be chaos in the first place if you gave it meaning in a bad sense anyway.
ChosenWolff says2014-07-02T12:20:08.1328472-05:00
Here's the problem. Unlike a chest, men are EXTREMELY attracted to women's breast. Culturally it has become something of intense sexual desire, and yes, it has been sexualized 700% more than chests have. You are allowed to be nude on private property, but there is no need to subject people who want nothing to do with it to nudity.
ChosenWolff says2014-07-02T12:20:47.8195016-05:00
I would rather have men wear shirts in public. That seems fair.
reece says2014-07-02T12:22:06.8184080-05:00
@ChosenWolff Look at my question...For equality,is it only fair that women should be able to walk around shirtless in public as men can? I didn't say they had to.
ChosenWolff says2014-07-02T12:22:16.4280696-05:00
Also, the main difference between men and women sexually, is that men possess more sexual hormones than women.
reece says2014-07-02T12:26:28.9105291-05:00
Better education... Mind over body...
ChosenWolff says2014-07-02T12:28:18.7812873-05:00
That's only if equality was absolute. People some times go overboard with equality, and the simple fact is, that we are all not equal in the same ways. Black and white, of course there's no actual difference, but man and woman. Equality doesn't exist as we have different traits physically, mentally (different chemical composition), and sexually. Yes, they did a bunch of studies on this in the 90's. Men's testosterone lights up like fireworks upon seeing a naked woman compared to a woman looking at a naked man. (although they don't have testosterone of course). There are problems that things like this could cause. When sexual tension builds up, it has to be released, and not always in a good way (half of men can't get it up without contact). This is the chaos's I was referring to.
ChosenWolff says2014-07-02T12:32:25.7497313-05:00
And that's where the OP collapses. The double liberty rule translates here. While are treating two issues under the same manner. It might be fair for both men and women to not wear shirts. It's not fair to force sexual tension on ordinary people in public. If you want to be nude, you can technically get it licensed on your property and other people may allow you to do so on their property.
reece says2014-07-02T12:35:04.1970259-05:00
@ChosenWolff The funny thing about humans is that we can manipulate our environment to such an extent that we can transmute our minds to change.
ChosenWolff says2014-07-02T12:39:10.2091805-05:00
Are you suggesting an evolutionary theory on mind composition. While this may be so, we can not wait 3000 years for men and women to possess equal hormonal composition, nor can we suggest equal hormonal composition will exist 3000 years from now. My premise was mostly dropped. Equalism is a sham. Not all humans are equal, and while the law should treat people equal, we must be cautious to make sure that equality can't cause collateral damage. In this case, your taking two inequal groups and giving an equal solution. Unfortunately, the collateral damage is that men take significantly more sexual tension as a result. This is the double liberty rule. Or if you give liberty, you are taking away liberty. This is a constant rule. I am personally leaning on the side where people shouldn't be forced unto sexual desire in public.
ChosenWolff says2014-07-02T12:44:37.1991078-05:00
This is actually quite similar to why we have propaganda laws. People can no longer advertise to citizens that drugs, alcohol, and pills are responsible and good for you. While this is unequal in the regard that other products are allowed to do this, it is fair in the regard that you are not forcing tension on people with addictions or creating desire to make bad decisions that will seriously affect their lives.
reece says2014-07-02T12:46:23.3408274-05:00
@ChosenWolff No i'm saying man has actually speed up evaluation, not only of us but also of other animals. And sorry i live in New Zealand..
ChosenWolff says2014-07-02T12:56:04.1194521-05:00
You're half right. There are things men can do to make transitions easier. For example, we recently allowed people to show their booty on television or billboard advertising (covered of course, although its mostly been used with men involved). This is now allowed, yet there are others things we can't control. I'm sorry, but men and woman just wont be the same sexually. The way we get attracted isn't even the same. We have completely different hormonal and sexual processes that allow us to release sexual tension. For women, sexual tension is released while you look at an attractive male or female. For men, sexual tension must be released manually. We are inequal in this regard. Which is why women can look at a man and be fine, but men will become incredibly bottled up. I'm sure you know what it's like to be bottled up after seeing an extremely hot lady (In america, average boob size is C+, and were almost at D average, 40%,38% thing), and those emotions in a public setting are very frustrating, and problematic around other people. You are forcing those emotions on to people who don't want them. Hell, if there was a way I could live my life without getting sexually attracted to people, I would, as those emotions are hell for people of all ages. Simply stated, this law would be equal but unfair and unjust.
ChosenWolff says2014-07-02T13:01:05.8872440-05:00
I mean, tell me. Men have different sexual attraction hormones, but on average, we get sexually attracted a lot easier than women. And when I say a lot, I mean a LOT. Women have a way to release sexual attraction. Hell, I use to watch as females tried to suppress Orgasms in class and I thought it was hilarious, yet simple fact remains, men must have manual release, and its unfair to force it upon them.
reece says2014-07-02T13:06:20.9916440-05:00
@ChosenWolff here is what i'm talking about now the imagine the psyche of the animals.Sorry i cbf typing much
Haroush says2014-07-02T13:54:19.2391006-05:00
I'm against anyone going nude in public. And I don't care how hot it is either. If you want to go around nude, go live in a nudist colony.
Haroush says2014-07-02T13:56:40.9026211-05:00
As far as men not having as much self control... I don't believe it. I don't care what scientist say about this... It is all based on the individual and their personal values.
Stalin_Mario says2014-07-02T16:36:16.2662060-05:00
For me I don't care at all if people go out nude or not. You can go out butt-naked and I wouldn't care at all.
PinValentine says2014-07-03T09:42:26.9379472-05:00
I am for it. There is nothing wrong with the human body. If every one is properly educated and desensitized then there would never be a problem.
