@lolking78 ok, you have taken everything out of context! Do you know why God destroyed those cities? It was his just judgement! They had been spitting in Gods face for a very long time! Committing hanus sins against him! Adultery, murder, homosexuality, rape. God would need to be evil to let them stay on the earth! An analogy. There is a man, he committed all the above sins multiple times! Now, he is standing in court for his crimes! He walks up to the judge and says, "hey, i know your a good, loving judge! How 'bout you show me your loving forgiveness?" the judge responds, "yes, i am a good, loving judge! And for those reasons, i give my just punishment!"

I love how when atheists and non religious people say that if God existed, he probably wouldn't allow evil, religious people say that God works in mysterious ways. Ummmm... Well it's pretty damn mysterious then.
Gamapo says2016-03-31T03:08:03.7326615Z
@ texas14 See, heres the thing. With every single religion, (including Evolution) there are things that cannot be explained. You, of corse, start off with the hardest of all questions to christianity. So, rather God must be all good, but not all powerful, or he must be all powerful but not all good, right? WRONG! (<- that would be an either/or fallacy) see, we as christians do not know for sure why God allows evil! (i will be sure to ask in heaven) but there are several answers. The one I'm sticking too, we dont know. However, since you bring up the mysterious ways" i will address it, since you are obviously making some large assumptions. When someone says, "mysterious ways" they typically mean, "bigger picture." often, and i mean very often, God uses our trials to test us, but more often, to help us witness! So many asians have been converted due to the persecution of the church! They see our witnesses in trials! That is what is meant by "mysterious ways." we dont see the big picture, we are only a brush stroke! To us, our situation looks ugly! But when we see it all in heaven, we will see our parts in his masterpiece!

ANALOGY TIME!! Ok so, pretend we humans are.......Idk......Wildcats, how-bout. And were living our lives in the woods of life! Then, suddenly, men, (God) start coming in and locking us in cages! We scratch, we yowl, we bite! This is injustice! We deserve better! Why is this happening?! Not fair, huh? Well, little do we know there is a huge forest fire raging tward us! God acts in mysterious ways is not my favorite interpretation, but it is one, and you should know better than to jump to such conclusions!

God is neither good nor bad; god doesn't exist.

I've gotta tell ya, that comment s unfounded. Although i do not have time for a debate, (heavy on high school) i will debate this in the comment section! (and please, dont start off with the, "K.O." questions, or i must retort in kind! ;)

Don't charge God with crimes he's not responsible of , people either misunderstand him or use him as a cover, but what is surely true is that he doesn't give the slightest s**t about what's going on .

So whoever doesn't believe in him shall perish? , let me tell you something , if by any chance you'll happen to take a look on Quran , you'll find many verses that promote peace , and many others that call for war , some verses really contradict other verses , so at the world's level of development , it must now be clear to you that these books can't guide our lives .

Just.....Wow. Heres the thing. We are all sinners. Terrible, terrible sinners. (if you believe you a great person, let me know.) God is holy, (and by the way, I'm christian, not muslim.) We CANNOT stand in his presence with our sin! We must be punished! But God, out of his ABOUNDING love towards us, sent his one, and only son, to be our mediator! He took our sin, even while we still hated him! And he died on the cross for us! On the third day, he rose again! So that all who BELIVE in him will live!

@manuel-crespo 7I form light and create darkness, I make well-being and create CALAMITY, I am the LORD, who does all these things. [Isaiah 45:7 ESV. Meaning, whether and such. Revealing his power.
Izz2000 says2016-04-26T08:34:25.6745832Z
If we're all sinners then why hasn't he punished us yet? Why hasn't he brought a mountain down on us or why hasn't he stroke us with lightening yet? Like he did with our old ancestors of sinful humanity ?

God exists within texts. So did horrible antagonists that we love to hate. Even if it doesn't exist, he still committed actions within texts, still making him evil. People view Voldemort as evil, even if he doesn't exist.

This poll and the people who legitimately think the Christian god is righteous are cancer.
David_Debates says2016-06-20T00:15:29.9540705Z
How so, Dburch? What evidence shows that the Christian God is, in fact, not righteous? Just 3 would suffice.

Lzz2000, God is showing his goodness towards us/you by not destroying you yet so that you have more time to come to know Him. It is purely by his grace and mercy that he has not destroyed all of humanity.
