Because fiscal conservatism is an outdated method in a progressing world
Fiscal conservatism works. There are other factors at play (Not buying it)
Look no farther than Mississippi and Tennessee.
they are also the states with the highest welfare consumption.
Kind of funny how TN and Mississippi both have no state minimum wage and how southern states are more "poverty prone" than northern states. Miss. has a 23.2% poverty rate and TN has 16.7% but the lowest two are NH with 7.9% and CT with 8.6%. National average is 12.6%, WAY below Miss and TN. Keep on waiting for that trickle down, you'll end up starving to death or dying from lack of health.
"Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." -- Einstein. This is how any learned person should feel about "fiscal conservatism."
Fiscal Conservatism isn't the issue. It's the people representing it and their unwillingness to work with folks across the aisle that make it 'appear' as outdated. But don't be fooled, or jaded by the word 'conservative' because of the stigma. Fiscal conservatism has its place and when administered properly helps maintain balance, against frivolous government spending. I AM NOT REPUBLICAN nor DEMOCRAT. I don't believe in cookie cutter politics, I believe in being open minded.
