@PeterSmith Karl Marx was not a utopian socialist. He was defined as being the first man to make socialism 'scientific' through his theories of historical materialism, dialectical materialism, and also his analysis of capitalism. Also, John Maynard Keynes was not an anarcho-capitalist.

Chimera: I know, they are just to represent socalism and capitalism.
PetersSmith says2014-08-14T12:43:56.1959114-05:00
Chimera: Also, Marx had a vision of an ideal society, which is his version of a socialist utopia.

Chimera: Keynes also had an idea for what the capitalist future would look like.

@PeterSmith Yes, Marx had an ideal vision for a society. But the term 'utopian socialism' refers to socialist philosophers before Marx (i.E. Robert Owen, Charles Fourier, etc.). So, providing a source which leads to a page on utopian socialism, and saying that such is a representation or explaination of how a Marxist 'utopia' would look like, isn't accurate. The same can be said for Keynes, whose ideal vision was not 'anarcho'-capitalism (Keynes supported the state, and thought it could be used to keep the free market in line through regulation). Anarcho-capitalism is not what Keynes had in mind, just as Utopian socialism is not what Marx had in mind.

Chimera: Look, I know you have the urge to correct everyone whenever they mention communism, but I think you should let it go this time.

@PeterSmith .... Well, I don't really 'have the urge to correct everyone when they mention communism'. But I didn't realize that this poll didn't allow for criticism of popular opinion, nor did I realize that this poll didn't allow for correction when objectively wrong. However, I don't see how that warrants rudeness. I only posted onto this poll due to incorrect sourcing, but whatever. I'm just trying to promote intellectual honesty, but it seems when I do, people think that I 'have an urge to correct everyone'.

Chimera: I wasn't being rude, I was just saying that it's pointless since I can't change anything.

@PeterSmith I know. And I posted to let people who vote on this know that there was incorrect sourcing. However, I am sorry that I perceived your comment as rude, and responded in a rude manner.

Chimera: No, I should be apologizing to you.

I'd follow Jesus Christ. Anything man devises will eventually fall to corruption. Look at capitalism for example. The richest .5% of the people control 80% of the entire world's wealth.

And in soviet Russia ( when it was communism ) the top 0.5% controlled 80% of the wealth ( power )

When it was under pseudo communism that only existed on the official level, you mean.
