If God Created The Universe Who Created God?

Posted by: pozessed

I know a majority of you are atheists. Please bear with me and don't add a "God does not exist" option. I want to see what the most logical explinations are to this question and I'd appreciate it if you'd humor me and entertain the question.

No one created him.. Because he doesnt exist

God was never created, as He is an eternal being. Hard to understand for us, yes, but that is how it is.

God is the foundation from which everything can be. The eternal powerhouse of infinite production. Being outside of time, and the creator of time, there is no moment before God.

There is no logical explanation. Theists just use the Special Pleading fallacy to claim everything needs a creator except their god...Just because.

Actually God having a creator himself would be logical just unexplainable.

Coming from a theist, I prefer the "I don't give a fvck because it doesn't affect whether I go to heaven or not" fallacy.

There is no logic how one cell just appeared out of nowhere. We all came from that one cell, and no one, I mean no one, knows how it came to be. Same with God, no one knows. Lol

This question is ridiculously loaded.
pozessed says2013-09-15T11:29:39.0432658-05:00
Why is this a loaded question?

It saddens me that people will take a question that has a relevance to answering many doubts on both sides of the spectrum and make a joke out of it. This is a question that is often asked by atheists who question a theists opinion that God created the universe. Though this question is speculative it can have a subjective answer that many people can agree with IMO.

The only difference is, leojm, that science doesn't fill in the holes in our knowledge with magic. Theists do.

I don't believe that god created the universe but i also don't believe that science explains it either because they made up a substance called dark matter as a substance that gravitaionally effects visible matter.

This is actually a terrific philosophical question. I believe that God - the sentient universe - was born from disorder and chaos. I believe that the original state of genuine nothingness was lawless and chaotic, and because it was it had the capacity to create something . . . The something that emerged from it was also distinct from it and became aware of it. In that moment God was born.

'Who created God?'
wizardofspace says2013-09-16T16:44:07.0018862-05:00
I think that god's existence is a part of some sort of infinite time loop where one civilized being succeeds the universe outside of time and space only to become the trigger that creates the universe. Unless the existence of the universe is a part of a cyclically constant making and breaking of universes in the multiverse maintained by one god.

There is no evidence for a higher power. Also, dark matter doesn't exist and was Einstein's hope for a static universe rather than an expanding one.
Delliss says2013-09-18T17:53:55.2024378-05:00
I am not sure I believe in God, but if He does exist, then this question is unnecessary. Just because we can't understand or imagine something doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

Quote from a average christian "Everything has to have a cause" Me "Then what created God?" Christian "He was always there!" Me "Everything needs a cause! Then how did God get created because he can't have been always there?!?"
Owl099 says2014-06-28T19:16:40.5819999-05:00
Creation only concerns us because we were created.
Jingram994 says2014-06-30T03:15:29.2172716-05:00
Can you verify that? It concerns us because a huge number of people *believe* we were created. There's no sort of proof, evidence or valid logical argument to show that we were *actually* deliberately created.
