"I changed my vote after thinking this over. Technically, Atheism is ignorant because it assumes it is 100% correct that not spiritual God can exist. Agnosticism on the other hand, I can understand." Agnostic is a knowledge claim, atheism is a belief claim (lack of belief). You can be an agnostic atheist, and most atheists are.
Thats an interesting definition of Atheism I have heard a lot. However, there is this as well, "Atheism is, in a broad sense, the rejection of belief in the existence of deities." [wikipedia, I was kinda lazy]
Basically, I see it as if you state your are Agnostic, I can understand. You don't know for sure if God exists, but you wont claim he doesn't exist because neither side can technically be 100% proven>
However, Atheism assumes no God exists. That has been my understanding for a long time as well as what a lot of Atheists protrude.
No. I am a Atheist. I have read the bible twice and the Koran once. I do not see it as ignorance if i have seen your (I am assuming the person reading this is religious) opinion on the world and simply disagree with it.
