• Of course! We can't have such a radical socialist in office!

  • Not at all. Sanders speaks up about the issues that the majority of people agree with!

  • The majority of people are NOT socialists.

  • Socialism is bad

  • Running on an open socialist platform in the US is political suicide.

  • Yeah... No... Just no to socialism. What's up with the rise of neo-socialism/neo-communism? This is scary.

  • I consider myself a dirty-filthy-hippie liberal and even I find Sanders too far to the left for my taste.

  • America needs a revolutionary socialist

  • Sanders is a democratic socialist, which is a FAR cry from actual socialism. He supports things such as: raising the minimum wage, universal health-care, tax reform, breaking up the too-big-to-fail banks, and has maintained these beliefs throughout his entire political career. He's honest and fights for what the majority of American people want. He's far from radical.

  • Hes not a socialist hes a social democrat. Its very different. Its also called democratic socialist but its not the same thing as socialism at all. think norway, not stalinist russia

  • YES! FINALLY! This is what America needs! A socialist!

  • In a democrocy anybody can be elected. Oh and you need to be more specific when you use the word socialist, as i've said again and again it is a broad term.

  • A politician who believes that the government and the rest of the population should work together to fix the country? Obviously too radical.

  • It's become quite clear that a lot of people don't even know what socialism means, let alone social democracy which Bernie promotes. And still they denounce him with this one word, as if it equates to communism, gulags, Stalin and the devil, they even think they've made a good point. Please, educate yourself.

Not a supporter of big government but Sanders is an interesting candidate. He could overtake Hillary.

He might win 2 or 3 states, but I'm glad he's running because he'll push Hillary to the left and that will make it harder for her to win redish states.

@Texas14 - On his announcement, I would have agreed. I don't now. I think he has a reasonable chance at the nomination.
