  • I won't force someone to make money from me.

  • If you are tired of accepting food stamps and getting robbed then I guess not.

  • Black VS White crime statistics - The REAL DEAL - CNN can get bent Since Don Lemon from CNN wants to profile & lock up all the white people so they can't commit any crime. Let's examine the REAL crime stats of this country. You know, Fair & Balanced, right Don? ----------------------------------------------------------- Based on current rates of first incarceration, an estimated 32% of black males will enter State or Federal prison during their lifetime, compared to 17% of Hispanic males and 5.9% of white males. [link to www.ojp.usdoj.gov] At midyear 2007 there were 4,618 black male sentenced prisoners per 100,000 black males in the United States, compared to 1,747 Hispanic male sentenced prisoners per 100,000 Hispanic males and 773 white male sentenced prisoners per 100,000 white males. [link to www.ojp.usdoj.gov] In 2005, Homicide offending rates for blacks were more than 7 times higher than the rates for whites [link to www.ojp.usdoj.gov] Lifetime Likelihood of Going to State or Federal Prison This Special Report presents lifetime chances of going to State or Federal prison by age, sex, race, and Hispanic origin. Using standard demographic lifetable techniques, and assuming that recent incarceration rates remain unchanged, an estimated 1 of every 20 persons (5%) can be expected to serve time in prison during their lifetime. The lifetime chances of a person going to prison are higher for men (9%) than for women (1%) and higher for blacks (16%) and Hispanics (9%) than for whites (2%). At current levels of incarceration newborn black males in this country have a greater than a 1 in 4 chance of going to prison during their lifetimes, while Hispanic males have a 1 in 6 chance, and white males have a 1 in 23 chance of serving time. 3/97 NCJ 160092 [link to www.ojp.usdoj.gov] The US Dept. of Justice Website also reports that in England and Wales, blacks are 2% of the population, but 11% of inmates: [link to www.ojp.usdoj.gov] So it makes perfect sense to not want to serve food to anybody with this kind of behavior!

Its idiotic to refuse someone based on religious purposes and it MORE idiotic to make laws that protect these people whats the point of equal rights if we refuse rights to some people?

Part of being in a society is dealing with people you don't like. Its not very civil to deny any service or product to any species of creature based on them being associated with a group. If you want to deny service do it on a individual level based on their character not on a group they are associated with.

Who cares about how discriminating it is? I work in the food industry and refusing somebody based on that type of thing is pure public relations suicide!

If everyone thinks it's so bad, why did so many people say it's not idiotic to do it against gays?

It's always a dumb idea to hate in a place people eat. Restraunts aren't just places people go to eat. They go to feel special and liked. It is a place you go where people better dressed than you bring you food and be nice to you no matter what. This isn't totally the case with fastfood, but still.

Their argument is that gays haven't been proven to be born gay, I suppose. Blacks, however, have been proven to be born black, so it's something that they can't change. They argue that gays choose to be gay and can "Pray the gay away" if they want to avoid a fiery demise. I do not agree with those people, but born homosexuality hasn't exactly been proven, so I'm not sure if this is a fair comparison or not.

It's still discrimination against a certain group. It's the same thing.

The world is getting too overpopulated, if anything gay marriage might not be that bad.
tcutshaw2 says2015-04-02T22:17:58.5195824-05:00
One group has been proven to not be able to change their group. The other hasn't necessarily been proven not to be able to change, so one could argue that it is not the same.

Okay, I'll make another mockery of that poll.

Don't forget what I said before. I do think that it is discrimination and that it is idiotic, but I'm trying to see the other side of the argument.

Ithinkyourallcool, doesn't the business/property owner have rights? If someone comes to your home, u have the right to make them leave, correct? Equal rights should only exist amongst government organizations and programs, the government cannot dictate private property and it is unconstitutional to do so. So yes, by the constitution it is legal and acceptable for a business owner to deny anybody, and they don't even need a reason. Actually the equal opportunity law is a violation of the constitution.
