I'm undecided on this one. Some parents may feel like interracial marriages will result in different cultural differences, and problems might occur on the way, regarding upbring, culture etc... So, if there against it because they hate the other skin color thats racist, but IDK if its for the reason I listed above.
They don't have too, but if they choose to do so, then problems may arise, because there chance of your partner following a different culture is much higher. An Indian guy would likely follow his culture while a Chinese girl would follow her's
Well it would be better if they follow the culture of their country. Like if they're in China, they should follow chinese culture, both of them. If they live in Japan, they should follow Japanese culture (you get the point)
It's only wrong if you're a white person against interracial marriage. That's what society has made very clear. Black people who say they would only marry other blacks are applauded.Asians who say they would only marry other Asians are applauded. Jews who say they would only marry other jews are applauded. Every non-white people who says they would only marry within their own race is applauded. However, if a white person says they would only want to marry another white person, they're called racists.
If you are not accepting of interracial marriages, it does not automatically mean you are being racist; it simply means you have a different preference. It's the same as some people liking the taste of sushi, and others abhorring it. Would you say that just because someone can't stand the taste of sushi, that they are being racist? I don't think so. It's the same with interracial marriages. Just because some people don't prefer a certain type of marriage, doesn't mean they are against it. That being said, there are some people who are incredibly racist when it comes to these marriages. It's important to judge each situation differently.
