Is it right to pursue legal action/justice against those who have committed crimes decades ago?

So some examples could be "retired" IRA terrorists, 80's sex offenders, just anything really that was committed decades ago. I ask this as there has been multiple suggestions and sometimes actual circumstances where pursuing such "criminals" have been abandoned.

  • Yes

  • No

  • Yes, the person is guilty no matter how long ago the crime was committed. Whether a murder was committed today, or 50 years ago, the act is not any less evil and should be punished.

  • Yes, under reasoning. If a person was to take another life away, then yes. Yet, if it was only over child bills, then no, since the child most likely has grown up and living a decent life.

Depends on the Statute of Limitations. If they can legally be prosecuted, then they should be!
