Is it right to pursue legal action/justice against those who have committed crimes decades ago?
Posted by: ZylorarchySo some examples could be "retired" IRA terrorists, 80's sex offenders, just anything really that was committed decades ago. I ask this as there has been multiple suggestions and sometimes actual circumstances where pursuing such "criminals" have been abandoned.

Depends on the Statute of Limitations. If they can legally be prosecuted, then they should be!
Yes, the person is guilty no matter how long ago the crime was committed. Whether a murder was committed today, or 50 years ago, the act is not any less evil and should be punished.
Yes, under reasoning. If a person was to take another life away, then yes. Yet, if it was only over child bills, then no, since the child most likely has grown up and living a decent life.
People change. They are not the same person they were decades ago.
