  • It's not theocratic. It just believes that America as founded upon Christian values.

  • Uhh... they have a hardline belief in the constitution. They're WAYYYY more constitutional than some of the other fringe parties like socialists and green party.

  • How ironic is it that a nationalist theocratic party calls themselves the "Constitution Party."

  • They seem to confuse a secular document like the constitution ("we the people" directly goes against the laws of god) with the barbarism in the bible.

@Varrack As if that isn't somewhat theocratic? How can US be founded on Christian values if the founding fathers intended US to have Church and State separation?

The founding fathers weren't even Christians in the first place, they were non-religious.

"Of the 55 delegates to the 1787 Constitutional Convention, 49 were Protestants, and two were Roman Catholics. Among the Protestant delegates to the Constitutional Convention, 28 were Church of England (or Episcopalian, after the American Revolutionary War was won), eight were Presbyterians, seven were Congregationalists, two were Lutherans, two were Dutch Reformed, and two were Methodists." Taken straight from Wiki's page on the American founders.

Christian values as in the values of freedom, virtue, and equality. Not a theocratic state.

Many of the main ones like Benjamin Franklin were deists, and even the Christian founding fathers strongly supported seperation of church and state.

"Christian values as in the values of freedom, virtue, and equality" So? The values US was founded on like equality and freedom can be applied to many religions. Just because there may be a few verses in the Bible about that doesn't mean that the US is a Christian nation.
triangle.128k says2015-05-28T17:30:33.6919542-05:00
Christianity shouldn't effect the US ideas because of seperation of church and state which nearly all founders supported.

Should be called the Racist Party.

Here's a good one: The Unconstitutional Party.
