Tom Riddle doesn't exist outside of imagination. Everyone's imagination is different, so everyone's Tom Riddle is different and thought of differently

The "no" comments show people are more apt to treat "misunderstood" in its metaphorical meaning of implying that someone thought badly of is not bad than its literal meaning of not being understood even if its not being understood the other way around(thinking someone is good and they turn out to be bad).
