What is this even trying to say? A pickaxe in end is more useful then a sword, since you can make multiple diamond swords. Make this question more specific. For Weapons, obviously a sword is better, and vice versa for a pick.

pickaxes are more useful than swords. you can break ores to get minerals, which can make a sword. However, a sword cannot mine, say diamonds, to make a pickaxe. Also, swords have greatly been debuffed in minecraft 1.9. you can no longer spam click(which i like), which devalues the sword. The sword only contributes to PvP, which is a small part of the game as a whole
