  • What it Obamacare really is is that it's better than nothing.

  • It really is no different. I just cast a broader net. the real road to better insurance is when 'capitalism' takes the day off.

  • I feel it may work but only if they make it affordable for everyone.

  • Choosing is better than being a victim of life. Ocare is not a choice. USA is a Constitutional Republic which acknowledges Nature's Creator endowed, unalienable rights of moral citizens who are its' owners are free to make choices and its' government is their employee. Freeloaders are socialists victims wanting a master, provider; as in prison where everything is provided for the servants of the state.

  • Obama care is ruining the country sorry to say !!!! Think about it!!!

  • I believe everyone should have healthcare but Obamacare is not the way to do it. The whole law is over 2000 pages long and most of it doesn't mean anything. Also if it was as great as the Obama administration says it is, wouldn't they want it too? But no they put in the law that congress, the senate, and the president are opted out of it. Why? Because it doesn't work.

I don't know anything about it, so I can't say anything about it. Same applies with everyone else.

In a government run health care system, as Ocare is, it would eventually become an euthanasia-like form of health care as the ward of the state becomes more of a high-maintenance, liability on the OCare system.

For the record, in my vote, regular means not subsidized by the government in any way. I am not a fan of MediCare, either.

When an idea becomes so good to one side that it has to be mandatory, it's not such a good idea anymore. Forcing the American people to purchase insurance is wrong.

Dishwasher, if that is your occupation, it fits, thinking is not your forte.

TeaParty Delusionist, I guess the 100 year fact that taxpayers have been paying for the uninsured and letting unrestricted insurance companies have carte blanche with outrageous pricing and poor service hasn't danced across that sieve like entity between your ears...Then perhaps you should work in health service, have no health service, understand the ramifications of unchecked poor health on the all of society and the ACA is an expansion, not universal care and does not guarantee every person healthcare unlike Europe, Canada, and Japan does. It is not single payer, therefore not even remotely socialist. Rolling eyes. As for Medicaid I suppose all the disabled people do not deserve healthcare that hey have paid into and had the misfortune of being, shot, in car accident, go cancer, lost a leg in Iraq all those passkey fake things, dumb, sorry, lazy people do for a 600.00 a month check. EEEAHHH.

Lehorn: Other mandatory ideas that are abject failures, as you so aptly display, are a mandatory education. The ACA doe not FORCE people to BUY anything. It enables people who were previously ineligible or who could not afford insurance to have health insurance. I am not sure what part of that is so difficult to comprehend and when you failed to realize when the ACA [page 131] announced the personal penalties would NEVER be enforced. If you so abhor healthcare, then I posit this.............You folks should be exempt, exempt as from having any medical help for you or yours. Go buy band aids and Bayer and survive Ted. Take the Teabagdeluionalist and never darken a Doctor or clinic or hospital's door again. Tea: you do realize that Medicaid subsidizes the elderly once they go in assisted living or nursing homes because their entire SS check and Medicare is exhausted in a few months. So, in effect, you want the elderly to just be put to death at your discretion?

Green Matthew: you self admission was indeed admirable and a s a rule you would be about 99.9% correct. But, by the good fortunes of Odin, I have been involved in the US healthcare system and as a member of the APA, I was in many discussions about the framing of this 'bill'. It is a complex an multilayered proposition, however, so was SS, Medicare, and Medicaid. If the mainstream was not so indoctrinated with McCarthyistic type fear, paranoia, scared of the "pinkos", scared of the blacks, scared of the Muslims, just scared, scared, scared.... And golly gee, would READ the plan or get someone knowledgeable [unbiased] to explain the plan, they might not have constant dystopia ridden anxiety. Folks might use that negative, wasted energy on doing something, um, well, maybe , kinda' ,curiously, out of the box: good.

Maybe both is better
rammstauffenberg says2013-10-30T14:16:04.4020360-05:00
Both what gen13? Ocare is an EXPANSION of private healthcare meant to have better standards that meet the needs of the patient and not be some crappy policy that have zillion dollar co pays and no real coverage and god forbid, offer care for the gazillion uninsured your tax dollars are being gouged for. Why is this so difficult? I don't even live in the US and I get it. I think it is stupid, too. You all should be on single payer and for f8cking get it! Betteryet, the US needs a brain booster shot.
rammstauffenberg says2013-10-30T14:20:37.9306826-05:00
Lehorn: Letting people with no background checks have guns is wrong. Having health insurance is prudent. Having car insurance is prudent. Having home insurance is prudent. Having driver's license is mandatory, marriage license, medical license, insurance licenses [to sell or adjust], having nail license, hair do licenses.........So you are f8cking angry over people being health insured but you want your barber to be licensed? Seriously? Do you see how stupid you are now?
rammstauffenberg says2013-10-30T14:22:16.0852534-05:00
I notice all these nay saying brainiacs never have a rhyme or reason just like their representatives in Washington.

Interesting, the number for O Care is greater than those who could sign up on the first day, SIX of over 2,000.000 who visited the site. Interesting.
