The movie right?
I couldn't imagine any non-Christian not feeling negative to the movie if they even watched it...
@Hanspete Yeah
I just finished watching it by the ways.
I am assuming the movie is like this video but in documentary form: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BRGndldqxlQ
@UtherPenguin It's not a documentary, it's a propaganda movie about a guy who fights with an atheist professor in college and "proves god and Christianity."
@triangle But. . . Jesus man!
I think this poll was done not too long ago, but... Well, the movie is a joke. I think everyone involved has never taken a college class in their lives
It portrayed Muslims pretty negatively in one scene, so i'm pretty sure you'd probably dislike it if you'd watched it.
@UtherPenguin
@TBR I just watched the movie so I felt like doing a poll on it.
I would watch it again for the giggles. The professor and his wife. Look, it was a ridiculous characterization, like Christians in "Left behind" - Wait, scratch that. They meant to be serious about Christians in that one. Well, whatever, they are both farces.
The movie sounds like a story that one of my teachers told me (I don't know if it is true or just a joke). "Their was a professor on a stage claiming that their is no God. He looked out to the crowd and said, "God if you are there, remove me from this podium". A linebacker was walking by and overheard the demand and decided to run down the isle, jump up onto the stage in a single step, and tackled the professor. He got up and told the professor, "God was busy, so he sent me instead".
@58539672 - The same story is told in a number of different configurations. It is a ridiculous stereotype.
@NewLifeChristian Why? Because it makes fun of atheists and had a couple scenes of anti-islam propaganda?
While it's caricature of atheists was... Colorful? The Muslim stereotype was absolutely tacked on for no purpose.
I've not seen the movie. I'm not going to judge it, therefore, but my pre-watch expectation is that it would be rather corny and preachy. Not because it's probably evangelical in nature. There are plenty of preachy anti-theistic movies as well. Bill Maher did one that I watched. *shrug*
What's that? I genuinely have no clue. All I can gather from the comments is that it's a movie.
It could have been a cool discussion based film but instead they smeared atheists. They attempted to paint atheists as disbelievers solely because of tragedy in their lives. Atheists don't resent god for "taking relatives," but rather, because the concept is retarded.
Never seen it.
I liked how they portrayed Muslims as violent towards women, and all atheists as evil and atheists secretly believed in God and would always convert on their death bed. The movie sucks. No real debate took place on God's existence. The protagonist easily won every argument.
@Wylted I couldn't have summarized it any better.
I'm an atheist and enjoyed this movie.....
I liked the movie- I didn't LOVE it but it was decent to watch. Now I know there are some triggered atheists in this comment section, but come on, you guys have got plenty of movies that mock Christians. Is that not enough for you. Like SamanthatheConservative said, aren't you the ones who say "fuck your god?" but when ONE movie shows atheists in a bad light, you go bonkers! You guys really need to get used to being criticized and made fun of. Christians are because it happens nearly all the time in the media. Maybe you atheists should get used to it too.
@SegBeg, "too"? There's public outcry from Christians every single time Christians or religion is depicted negatively in media. There's public outcry from Christians when Christians or religion is not depicted negatively. I don't just hate the movie because it's unfair; I also hate it because it's poorly written, poorly acted, and full of ham-fisted, pandering cameos.
@BlackJesus, I'm not saying that there aren't any Christians who outcry over themselves being made fun of in the media, but they don't complain nearly as much as atheists do and that' because they are more used to it and expect it. Atheists just aren't used to getting made fun of as much as religious people are.
Stop necroposting, this poll is dead
@SegBeg, well, I disagree. I guess it's all in the perspective. I read on your profile that you're Christian. I also read you're English and I'm American, so that's probably another reason. @triangle.128k, stop telling me what to do, you're not my real dad!
