His plan would have worked, if it was more ideal. Socialism isn't as bad as what some may think. Some forms of it make sense, and produce better results.

Socialism fixes alot of the problems that capitalism makes. But it also creates a set of new problems that werent there under capitalism. Their are no solutions, just different problems. Find the problem you can deal with and you have found your ideology.

@tajshar2k Slight forms of socialism, like public schooling is fine. But it's best if the economy is more capitalist leaning.

@triangle.128k Couldn't agree more. But some Americans think Socialism is evil or something. Countries like Norway have the highest income per Capita, have great socialized healthcare and social programs. Not saying we should become like them entirely, but we should ease up our capitalist policies a little bit.

Also, I support socialized healthcare.

Because they don't know that there is slight socialism in USA, and people usually think of pure-socialism when they hear it.

Countries like Norway or Sweden are pretty capitalist, they just have minor socialism here and there.

Triangle, they are extremely socialist. Democratic socialist I mean. They have ridiculous government provided benefits, and their healthcare is the best in the world. They get paid leave, high minimum wage, maternity leave, pension plans like crazy. Its very socialist, and their taxes actually are like 40% of their gdp.
triangle.128k says2015-08-06T02:14:51.9474114Z
They might have high taxes, but they are pretty economically free and all. If anything, they have a freer economy than the US.

Really? How so?
triangle.128k says2015-08-06T02:15:52.6474005Z
One factor accounting for Norway's wealth is probably it's oil and other natural resources.

Also, GDP per capita isn't that accurate of a measure of the wealth of it's citizens. Wealth distribution is something it fails to measure.

His crackpot views led to the starvation and deaths of millions of people.
