I have to say the past because the music. Gotta get down with it. I would not pick future, because we don't know could happen in the future. We could become enslaved by Pandas...
Without the past there is no future
The past can't be looked forward to, but the future will become the past anyway, you could argue that with no future there can be no past. Seeing as the past would have had to have been the future at some point.
