  • Anything is better than a rabbit, if you've ever owned one you know those things are incredibly gross and stupid. Hamsters are the superior pet hands down. In the wild hamsters tend to burrow underground where it's safe from most predators. Usually only coming out at night, when they are more difficult to spot, to eat and gather food to store in their burrows. The rabbit really has no clever tricks for survival, it can run kind of fast, but it's predators are faster. It can kind of camouflage itself in certain environments, but it's predators can still spot it. Nope the only viable tactic for survival a rabbit has is to out-breed it's predators appetites. No ingenious evolutionary traits to be found.
