Read Description: Who do you want to win the 2014 Afghan election?

Posted by: Jifpop09

I know you guys don't care about elections in other countries, but this election will prove if everything we did in Afghanistan was worthwhile. About three main contenders, and each have radically different views on how the government should be run. Personally, I want Ashrar to win, but to each his own.

  • Abdullah Abdullah

  • Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai

25% 1 votes
75% 3 votes
  • He really is a great mind. Hes running as an independent, and is staying distant from the stupidly radical parties of Afghanistan. the National Coalition, under Abdullah, will install another stereotypical islamic democracy, Ashrad is in favor of the BSA, which many are against, but I feel it would make Afghanistan are strongest ally in the eastern world.

Honestly, I'm sick of these Islamic Democracies. They are just as bad as no democracy at all. Religion should always be separated from state. Ashraf is a really smart guy, but from current results, it looks like hes behind by 10% from current counts. Why does the Islamic flock vote for more of the same?

I agree with the security agreement. Afghanistan as a stable democracy benefits the whole world politically and economically. By the conditions, Afghanistan would also have an entitlement to the US. Obama declaring them as a MNNA is a bit rushed, but we certainly need them to deal with Pakistan. Most of the problems in the land result from that $hithole. Anyways, that doesn't mean I condone our military intervention in Pakistan either.

I'm reading about Ashraf academic career and all I can say it wow that's a lot of college and education... I was looking up information about them and I came across this http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/apr/20/abdullah-lead-afghan-election-count You have to envy the Afghany people's courage for going through their election despite the talibhan threats

That story was from a week a go. Yeah, they had a higher turn out then the US, Ashraf is a philosopher and while Islam, is against theologian states. Which is what kills the middle east. Afghanistan has a good HDI, and a lot of potential. Parties in Afghanistan are bad business, and will run the country into ruin. If Ashraf wins, then I'll start a celebration forum.

When all the votes are counted. Which so far is half of them, with a 10% lead by the fascist.
