Should 16 and 17 year old's be allowed to vote in the UK's EU membership referendum (UK votes only please)

  • The idea is absurd. At 16 and 17 teenagers are still enveloped in our ridiculous left wing education (or rather 'propaganda') machine and have no idea about life or what their real opinions are. At 18, the current voting age, they will likely have at least had a job and that extra bit of life experience and time to collect their thoughts and think more independently about politics and their views. The left is insistent on 16/17 year old's voting because they know that they control the education system and the views of teenagers at those ages are easily influenced. It's a dirty, cheap and low attempt to grab some extra votes to stay in.
