  • It currently has the word God in it. To require kids to say that is a violation of the Establishment Claus.

  • No, they are joining the army

  • Its a violation of freedom of speech. Saying the pledge is a choice.

  • We ask kids to preach the freedoms they are bluntly denied in a school setting. Children must not be forced to say that they pledge allegiance to something they don't understand, about an "indivisible nation' that is currently divided, with liberty and justice for almost everyone but them. Maybe schools can lead it, but it's a child's choice weather they wish to join in.

  • Requiring someone to do something against their will that does not benefit the greater good or affect the safety of the people is an infringement upon basic human rights.

  • America is pretty much the only country that does this, and it's weird and cult-like. I haven't said the Pledge of Allegiance in years because it's demonstrably false.
