  • Yes castrate all men at birth. I have already been born so no problem for me. :)

  • Only in developed countries, and it should be reversed once people are shown to be fit to have kids. I don't think people realize that this is going to be a very real thing within a few hundred years.

  • IF they had birth control for men, I would keep that $hit in a dish next to my desk at work. I would eat that $hit like bubble gum. The human race would die out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wvCYJhILyxU

No one should chemically castrated.
Wylted says2014-08-06T05:22:04.2786305-05:00
Then what type of castrated should they be?
Bennett91 says2014-08-06T05:29:33.9927858-05:00
What the fudge kind of question is this? I've only been on here for a few weeks but it's clear the pole and opinion sections are a refuge for sociopaths and Nazi sympathizers.
Wylted says2014-08-06T05:31:29.0971806-05:00
Bennett, castration prevents STDs and unwanted pregnancies plus extends lifespan. It has many positive benefits.
Kreakin says2014-08-06T06:03:24.4750701-05:00
You mean like women suffer FGM on religious grounds??
MasturDbtor says2014-08-06T06:08:11.4071554-05:00
Why of course? Think of the benefits. Future generations will thank us.
BblackkBbirdd says2014-08-06T07:06:30.6894432-05:00
Uhhh, what is this?
PapaNolan says2014-08-06T07:07:11.7806334-05:00
Let us stop all pregnancies says pro castrators.
RichardOfTheM says2014-08-06T07:35:13.6600645-05:00
I'm just going to assume that this a troll question. There is absolutely no valid argument to support what you say. Its in complete breach of human rights and is an god awful idea. Honestly I pity you if you actually believe this.
dmussi12 says2014-08-06T08:51:18.8878062-05:00
Overpopulation, bad parenting. Those are my arguments. I don't think it's a good idea right now, but in a hundred years it will be.

@dmussi Reverse castration? So like grow it back? Ignorance is bliss...
debate_power says2014-08-06T10:36:42.5335740-05:00
Lololololololol I have no idea what that's about, but that sounds hilarious.
Preston says2014-08-06T10:36:44.1716055-05:00
@Wylted, you know what else castration does? Deprives men of freedom, limits reproduction, and is permanent. And it doesn't extend lifespan.
debate_power says2014-08-06T10:37:42.6653460-05:00
Emris, what the heck? Reverse castration?
Preston says2014-08-06T10:39:03.9559038-05:00
Not emris, dmussi, and immortal, you are supporting the chemical castration of every male baby. You aren't supporting birth control for men, neg would support birth control for men.
debate_power says2014-08-06T10:41:07.8427584-05:00
Yuck, I think I'm leaving this discussion. Bit too freakish of a topic for me.
dmussi12 says2014-08-06T11:08:45.0046412-05:00
Yeah chemical castration can easily be reversed, mainly because the current methods require constant treatment. All you have to do is stop the treatment. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chemical_castration
Preston says2014-08-06T11:11:08.7898412-05:00
Ya did you read that chemical castration leaves permanent effects "permanent effects in body chemistry can sometimes be seen, as in the case of bone density loss increasing with length of use of Depo Provera"
dmussi12 says2014-08-06T11:18:47.3392926-05:00
No I didn't see that. Still, technology will improve, and some sort of universal birth deterrent will be necessary in the future.
Preston says2014-08-06T11:20:11.5792926-05:00
Again, permanent deficiencies, and if you research it, the goal for future chemical castration is irreversibility. Currently they cant permanently do it safely.
Wylted says2014-08-06T11:23:24.9412667-05:00
Castration increases lifespan. This has been proven.
dmussi12 says2014-08-06T11:24:15.9217399-05:00
Alright, I'll accept that it's not a great idea for right now. Would you still be against it in a few hundred years IF it was easily reversible and came with no harmful side effects?
Preston says2014-08-06T11:27:21.9244227-05:00
Ok no, how does ruining peoples bone mass lengthen lifespans? It it because they become a pile of boneless gel that just sits there and cant get shot down in a Malaysian flight?
Preston says2014-08-06T11:31:21.1706235-05:00
"users show increases in body fat and reduced bone density, which increase long-term risk of cardiovascular disease and osteoporosis." sounds like a more fulfilling and longer life.
Preston says2014-08-06T11:32:44.2734216-05:00
And no istill wouldn't support it because as "Law professor John Stinneford has argued that chemical castration is a cruel and unusual punishment because it exerts control over the mind "
Wylted says2014-08-06T11:34:01.0580982-05:00
They looked at the lifespans of eunuchs in medeival royal courts and found the average lifespans to far exceed those of other privileged men at the time, and it still seems to hold true til this day.
Preston says2014-08-06T11:34:49.0290207-05:00
So your backing chemical castration with physical castration studies? Niiiice... Oh wait no

Chemical, physical it's all the same
Preston says2014-08-06T11:37:44.1267879-05:00
No its not, at ALL, chemical ruins your health, physical reduces hormones naturally. Its like saying a chicken nugget from mcdonalds is the same as fresh chicken.
Preston says2014-08-06T11:38:32.7064209-05:00
In that cas communism is good, because communism in African culture worked!
Preston says2014-08-06T11:40:36.1491488-05:00
Your study isn't even 21st century, it doesn't take into effect modern medicine, and guess what your castrated friends lived to 70, high at the time but right now its closer to 75 average years for men.
MasturDbtor says2014-08-06T15:34:53.2269464-05:00
Why not universal vasectomies instead? Those are reversible. Besides that there is not a single famine that is truly because of lack of available food. They happen because large groups of people can't afford food. Oftentimes those countries that suffer famines are eagerly exporting food products to other countries where people will pay more money for them. And also when countries develop their population rate goes down. In fact it often will drop below replacement levels. Develop the developing world and you won't have to worry about overpopulation.
MasturDbtor says2014-08-06T19:46:43.4591222-05:00
@ The Immortal Emris Castration effects hormone levels. What you'd want is a vasectomy that way you can have sex and not have any babies.
Wylted says2014-08-06T19:48:35.7772398-05:00
You'd still be at risk for STD's . Better just to have your testicles cut off.

It has benefits but it goes against human rights as well as it has health downsides.
