I don't think that churches should officially endorse one sports team or another, since not everyone in the congregation might support the same team. However, I don't think it's sinful for Christians to watch or play football either.

I agree with Vox, I don't think churches themselves should endorse a sport or team but I don't think it's wrong for individual Christians to support them. Now if we're talking about the Hunger Games in real life, then no, definitely not, but if it's just football then I don't see any harm as long as it isn't the church itself.

Is the topic of violent sports really a relevant topic that should even be discussed in church? Seems like more valuable topics like salvation or mission's work should be at the top of a church's priorities.
