Creationism is NOT science, creationism is NOT supported with evidence. Evolution IS science, evolution IS supported with evidence.

Creationism is associated with religion and in public schools there is religious toleration but student are not forced to take religion classes nor classes that talk specifically about one religion and how that religion is or is not true. Plus, there is no evidence at all that proves that creationism exists. Meanwhile, although evolution may be against some religions, there is evidence that it exists, and therefore should be taught in schools for it allows students to learn about the world they live in.

It shouldn't be taught as a science because it's unscientific. We have made discoveries that directly contradict the literal interpretation of theological accounts for the origins of life and the universe. The theory of evolution is not proof that humans have evolved from primates or that the earth's literal age is on the order of billions, but it is the most cogent explanation of the universe we have today that is based in empirical findings. Creationism should be taught and deemed a religious doctrine, but every student should understand the methodologies of both religion and science in order to intelligently read and interpret both approaches to knowledge.

Creationism should not be taught in schools since it is unscientific. I believe teachers should acknowledge in class that the theory of creationism exists but not teach it. If parents want their child to learn creationism, they can teach them, the church can teach them, or a religious school can.

I believe in creation, but in school, only evolution should be covered unless there is a class specifically teaching religion. However, teachers should make it clear that evolution is only a theory.

"Both are theories on how the universe and life was created" Someone didn't pay attention in biology. Evolution has NOTHING to do with the creation of the universe (Big Bang) or the creation of life (abiogenesis). Evolution deals with how life changes over time.

We don't need to corrupt an innocent child's mind with a bunch of superstitious nonsense at school being 12 years old and in school myself I have decided that I want to follow the theory of evolution. If parents want their kids to follow creationism I respect that but they have plenty of time to do it at home and/or at church in fact anywhere else but a school.
