  • Maybe not completely, but limit them! They are part of our culture and are a lot prettier than the electric cars!

  • No. Clean diesels, such as Audi's TDI models, are very efficient.

  • They should be permitted and encouraged. They tend to have longer engine lives, are more fuel efficient and have much greater torque over comparably sized gasoline engines. The US, Canada and car companies do their best to keep diesel cars out of the hands of consumers who really want them. The few that are available for sale in the US are difficult to find or are very expensive.

  • Switching to electric only would cause even more pollution, think about the pollution that would be caused by making a replacement car for every car owner... or the batteries, also where do you think the electricity is coming from, most electricity in the U.S. is produced with fossil fuels, coal, etc

Diesel puts out LESS CO2. "Diesel cars are a main source of pollution" is a bit of a mistake. I think we should RUSH to full electric, but lets not jettison Diesel on misconceptions.

I think in the future, when we find ways to run cars with air, water, and other renewable resources, then yes. Not right now though.
