  • My opinion, and it makes the most sense. [of course, still in my opinion] I don't honestly care whether or not they're automatic, I just don't want firearms banned. My argument is simply this: if you have no guns, people will still smuggle in guns and people will be unable to defend themselves. Whether or not you're using an AR-15 or a Glock 18 to protect yourself, it shouldn't matter, because people still convert regular pistols to be automatic. [fairly easy as well]

  • Here's something the fully automatic gun control supporters don't want you to know: the higher the rate of fire of a gun is, the lower the percentage of bullets will hit the target. Example: If I have an AR-15 with 20 rounds and an M-60 with 100 rounds, I might be able to hit the bulls eye 12 times, but with the M-60, I doubt I'd hit any more times unless I release the trigger to correct my aim. I'm also against the restriction on magazine ammo capacity. I could probably empty 8 magazines accurately in 3 minutes, if that.

By banning automatic firearms, you simply make it a tad harder to get your hands on an automatic weapon, but they can still be converted. This doesn't matter, as I'll explain: I can commit a crime such as rob a person or hold up a bank with an automatic weapon, and I can commit a crime with a semi-automatic weapon. In fact, just using a replica gun will probably do the job just as well. I can commit a mass murder with an automatic weapon, just as well as I can with a semi-automatic weapon. ---- In fact, as long as I have a gun, I can commit a crime. [Sounds bad, doesn't it?] But, I can also prevent a crime with an automatic weapon and a semi-automatic weapon just as easily as I can commit one. As long as I don't illegally use my weapon, I am a law-abiding citizen, whether or not the weapon I use is automatic or semi-automatic. ---- Thank you for taking your time to read this. ;)

What do you use a machine gun for? I live in the UK and can't say I feel I have missed out. To me a gun is a tool and it's purpose is to kill people. I'm not in the army so do not need one.TBH I'm kinda glad some of the nutters about can't get hold of them also.

You would not stand a chance so it's not a great argument.

If we had government level m4s and akms i beleve that we would.

A group of gun owners up against Apache helicopters, jet fighters & tanks. The troops could stay at home, you wouldn't get a chance to shoot anyone. M4's and AK's would not even chip the paint lol.

The government would not send in the tanks first, it would be ground troops in mraps. They have a fatel flaw that i just happen to know.(The mraps)

So only 8,585 of them to destroy, if they have sold off the other 8000 by then. Hope it's a good exploit!

@static_cast "I can commit a mass murder with an automatic weapon, just as well as I can with a semi-automatic weapon" Not rue at all. The rate of fire is far less sustainable on a semi.

The only good reason I can think of is to go to the range and blast the hell out of things, now that I could respect :)

Agreed, fully auto weapons should be illegal. TL, people would stand a chance against a professional Military thanks to the much superior training, Gear, and assistance.
