Should Jack of been a MGTOW?

Posted by: reece

MGTOW (”Men Going Their Own Way”) is a way of life which refuses to defer to women in defining the worth of men. Instead, it focuses on positive male aspects, inviting men to go their own way in life.

  • Yes. Jack would of lived.

  • No. Rose would of probably found herself preying upon some other poor bloke.

He could afford to be due to him being a working class man- they had more freedoms than upper class women and men. Still we may never know if he had not met Rose that he would have lived.

Wealth brings greater opportunities, arguably the rich have more freedoms. The only limiting factor to their freedoms that the poor don't experience comes with their desire to maintain this status thus confining them to act in a certain way, but this is effectively self imposed.

Gareth_BM, the rich back in those days did not have much freedom- particuarly upper class women. Working class women were a lot more free to express themselves and get a job or be unmarried without being forwned ipon as much as upper class women. That's why Rose was a lot happier when she was with the third class passengers on the ship as opposed to when she was with the first class passengers when she felt suicidal.
