Should more public school districts implement Meatless Mondays in the school week?Posted by: Logical.Assasinator
For those who don't know, Meatless Mondays is a program in some USA public schools and districts where one day of the school week the cafeteria food contains no meat or fish (basically vegetarian or vegan only).
Some days have meat and some days have vegetarian. Have a balance of it, not entirely vegan food or meat-y foods.
Why does it always have to go meat eaters' way? We (veggies and vegans) want one day of the week, that's all we ask. We have to put up wit meat eaters every day of our lives, so we deserve a day. I don't even live in the USA but I am the Lorax and I speak for the vegetarians...Haha.
Meat is brain food. It takes a committed vegan to believe otherwise for obvious reasons. Now, if you want to only do finger painting and basket weaving on Monday, well, maybe a slow brain would be adequate, but for real brain work and a real education, feed you brain lots of protein and animal fat.
Meat is required in an every-day balanced diet. It contains enzymes that have protein and animal fat. Meat is also very stimulative for your brain and helps contain a balanced diet.
