No. This will lead to wars over the territory which only hinders progress. We should work together and explore space for science and not for power.

No, because people will make other planets just as bad as Earth. Plus, we can't breath in outer space. We should think about keeping Earth clean to solve the problem.

People shouldn't be able to claim space territory. Why not you say because it's costly, there is no guarantee safety, and the Outer Space Treaty prevents it. The price tag some predict is about a half a million dollars. The outer space treaty signed by the US in 1967 prohibits any claiming of a cellestial body.

First of all, Our Earth is not in the best condition because of all the trash we made that affected the environment. Do you really want other planets to be like our Earth? Yes we should be able to claim territory in outer space, there could be valuable minerals that would make up for paying so much money to claim territory in outer space

Ok lets say we travled to outer space it would take our lifetime away. From Earth to Mars it would take 39 light years it may not seem like much but in space that is alot of time. The only people alive would be kids and they would be in their 20's and then they might not travel back to see their family because their dead!!!
