Phones in the classroom
No phones in the classroom
I've been in a school where kids were not allowed to have their cell phones out or even on at all. Yet teachers were allowed to pull out their cell phones and make or take calls as they see fit and no one could question it. How fare is it telling students "You're not allowed to use your phone during school but I am because I am older than you?" I just don't think it's fare
something bad might happen at school.Alex
At my school, devices are allowed at my class- as long as we follow a BYOD pension we signed, and we only really use our devices for educational things until the end of the day.
Students should be allowed to take phones to school as there is less hassle in the morning when packing a laptop.
Kids should I think have phones so that they can call in case of a emergency and for word research. #IAMASTUDENT
Why can teachers have phones while students can't even have there phone go off... I mean WTH
i think it should be allowed because mostly use my phone for school stuff like calculator and work and when we are allowed music
I think that if students wan to get distracted by their phones, then they can do that. It’s only affecting their own learning. As long as they don’t distract others, they can ruin their learning all that they want. The more that they distract themselves the harder it would be to learning anything. The more that they goof off and are distracted with their phones, the more homework they’ll have. They will only be hurting themselves. In school, I haven’t seen many people distracted by their phones. If I do see them, it is at lunch or some other time where it doesn’t affect their learning. If there isn’t a problem, why try to fix it? If many people were distracted then it might be an issue, but I don’t think there is much of a problem. And if one person is distracted, like I said before, they are only hurting themselves.
What if the kids are using search engines to find answers, instead of remembering from the material? The term for that is cheating.
causes massive distraction.. our learning period should be atleast that one time..that we can keep away from mobiles.
Students will most likely use it for other reasons.
Even if they're turned off, they shouldn't be allowed in. You don't need a phone during lessons. All they do is distract students and stop them from achieving their potential. Why they're allowed in, i have no idea.
No way. It is a total distraction, and I know it because I use it in college. The phone can be left in the pocket with it being on silent and be used between classes, but no way in the classroom it would be helpful to learning. Hint* there's a reason why not a single person actually put a constructive comment in the yes column...
because it is bad
it will not help the students. Also school is Studying time not video games it. That is for home stuff. It will cause you a powerful. it will not help the kids people.
The kids these days already spend too much time on Twitter, Face book, etc.
