Should school meals be free?

No, school meals should always be paid for

The government can't afford to pay for school meals. Besides, they don't cost much to begin with.

Yes, for elementary schools and high schools

High school students are poor enough as it is, they don't need to dish out extra money to pay for food.

Yes, for all types of schools, including college

College students are even poorer than high school students. Instead of eating ramen noodles all the time they should be able to eat at the food vendors or cafeteria. This is applying to certain times a day and outside of these "eating" times student... s will have to pay for it   more

Yes, for elementary schools

Students in elementary schools are fairly young and making them pay for lunch is not beneficial.

No, there should be no school meals

Make them bring their own damn food! This isn't a charity case.

I don't know enough about the system to say whether we should do college or not. Sorry. :)

And debt, in many cases.

Mishapqueen: It is in American nature to be comfortable with excessive debt. In fact, I feel more American and patriotic the more debt I am in.

Schools are already tax paid, why make the food capitalist?

P.S. That is a pathetic version of the "American Dream." Surely you jest!

Honestly, the food is so terrible I don't know why they charge for it.

Then the schools will lose a revenue source and will have to cut back on other amenities and facilities

Mishapqueen: Ay, i am just joking with thou.

Mishapqueen: Because in real life people just love having crippling debt weighing down on them.
