If the uniforms were provided by the school that may have swayed me, but you have to pay for them. I consider what you wear to be a form of freedom of expression, and while schools have the ability to limit these rights I don't think they ought to. School are already seen as institution meant to drain away any sense of individuality, freedom and creativity, so uniforms would just add to that. In addition, if your students find it impossible to focus because of what someone is wearing than either the student is being ridiculous (and will never survive in the real world), or you can just put a policy in place (no spaghetti straps, no shorts/short skirts. That kind of thing.)

Students in High school and up should be allowed to wear anything as long as it's appropriate. And uniform should be a punishment for inappropriate outfits.

The whole purpose of a dress code (when the school is not using a uniform) is to allow freedom of expression without going to far

It with strict your movements saps your energy, weighs you down and most of all take away your freedom to express yourself. I have spent my entire high school in uniform and all it's done is made me look ugly, contradicting what the school originally said "By wearing uniform, everyone is the same thus no one can be bullied for how they look"

I don't think they should, I think if we want children to think they should be allowed to think about what they wear to school

I think students should wear uniform but they have a couple of choices for uniforms with the same colour combination of course.

I would like to see uniform in America schools, it time that regular clothes be left at the home and uniform makes everyone respect each other and there be less bullying on those who are not rich . Yes I hope America goes back to uniform. It united the student body.
