Should the NHS treat "Self-inflicted illnesses"?

Should Health care services such as the NHS treat illnesses such as obesity, lung cancer caused by smoking or liver cirrhosis caused by excess alcohol consumption?

  • It's what it's therefore. Whether the NHS should be permitted to charge these people however... I would probably prefer this. To completely refuse treatment however is wrong.

  • Most self inflicted illness or harm come from previous trauma or a manufactured vulnerability. All is deserving of treatment.

  • cant prove a lot of the cases for example in fort mcmurray ab if you have bad lungs and you smoke it could be because of smoking but it is also probable that it is from coke dust that the plant makes. Thing is the doctors will say its from smoking as it could cause a lawsuit that will most likely be thrown out of courts
