Should the U.S Lower Immigration Rates?Posted by: USN276
As of now, an average of 1 million new immigrants enter the country from either Asia or Third World Countries. Should we enact much stricter immigration laws to greatly lower immigration rates?
Yes, we should LOWER immigration rates
No, we should NOT lower immigration rates
In light of whats going on right now ... pulling back just a little couldnt hurt. It would at least show we are making an attempt to be more cautious. Letting them test the defenses and us sitting back not showing any response is pretty inviting to them I would think.
Considering how much public assistance goes to many immigrants, I can't help but wish that our country would use those funds to help the homeless and the elderly who are actual citizens of the U.S. It seems that we could do more to help others if we could work on our own issues first.
Because we don't want to have more people and lose money/space
America's immigration system should be set up to benefit it's citizens. If you can't help this country you shouldn't be allowed to stay. Sorry, diversity is not what makes this country great. Unity is. We are already a very divided society. Give us time to homogenize. Race and ethnicity doesn't matter, but culture and language does. Not sure how bringing millions of people from the third world helps the country.
If it is legal immigration then we shouldn't
I for one like economic growth.
