Measuring my height and weight is so hard in metric. Imperial makes it much simpler.

I agree that the metric system is superior; however it isn't as easy as just switching over. We have tried several times in the past and people always exploit other's ignorance of it until we give up on converting. For instance, gas stations would have advertise things like "why would you by [competitor's] gas at $3 per gallon when you could buy ours for only $1 per liter?" or "Sorry judge, but my speeding ticket should be thrown out because I was only going 60 mph in a 100mph zone", either not knowing that it was 100kph (about 45mph) or trying to feign ignorance to get away with it.
